I used to be like that, but I want to play them now, which is want i done this year. I have about 10 games consoles and a few hundred games but the older games mostly sit there now.

I bought tons of games in 2012. I've purchased everything from pre-NES all the way up to 7th gen. Mostly physicle but some digital including Humble Bundle. Of the new games there were so many amazing ones this year. Mass Effect 3, Quantum Conundrum, Kingdoms of Amalur, Xenoblade Chronicles, Fez, etc.

It was a very good game to be a gamer, new and retro. But the only game that mattered this year was...

As every year too many to list.

Pretty much all blockbuster games that are available on consoles (no Mass Effect 3 though) and some of the lesser known but still very good games such as Binary Domain, Fez, The Darkness 2, FIFA Street, Sniper Elite V2, Lollipop Chainsaw, Spec Ops The Line, XCOM and Transformers FoC.

If you want some cheap, good games and have no clue which, then I'd easily recommend all of the above.


And last but not least a bunch of Steam games that came with several Humble Bundles.

Yeah and most of those are from last year but at least you picked some of the best
