Whenever you start up the Wii U, it checks if you have an internet connection, right? So, is there any way to disable this? I usually don't connect my ethernet cable to the Wii U and it's taking minutes before finding out I don't have a connection every time I boot the system up. I know I don't have an internet connection, and I don't need it Nintendo!

Why not just leave it connected to the internet?

Because I usually leave my ethernet cable in my 360. You know, the console which actually has online games.

look in the setting, there may be a way to turn internet totally off...i dunno though

I haven't turned my 360 on since I got a Wii U. Infact the 360 is back in it's box.
