PS3 actually sold 1.3 million more than XBox 360 this year, according to this website

PS3~ 9.8 million
Xbox 360~ 8.5 million
Wii~ 4.3 million

Sony had mentioned they surpassed 70 million way back in November 1st week. Secondly the website's figures for the cumulative total through the year so far puts Ps3 1.3 million ahead. So, adjustments are sure to come and close to 1 million gap, if not lesser.
