yeah. That's pretty much Fox news for you. I'm actually surprised they didn't bring on Jack Thompson.

So next time VGC screws up on software sales ala CoD4 I guess its cool for folks to just say "Thats pretty much VGC for you"? Lets get serious. Out of all of the news outletts I get news from Fox easily has the best and most thorough coverage. I disagree with a lot of the slanted crap their anchors and reporters say but its just as bad as what I hear on CNN, BBC, or MSNBC and the like, the only difference is that its slanted the other way.

If you don't like the story then just say so, making this about Fox is just a copout for dealing with the issue. Rather than discussing the topic you're just blaming the good'ole safe thing to blame on the internet. And frankly I'm getting tired of the lemming approach to politics that people seem so content with. Lets hear what you have to say about the issue!

That's fox news for you. 8)

Thats news in general for you, people just don't notice/care/pretend not to care when it is slanted their way. But hey thats human nature for you. I guess if we pretend hard enough that Fox is evil it will change the fact that they have the highest ratings. People trust Fox despite the hate it recieves...that says something.

But thats cool, if people want to dodge the issue and bash Fox for being Fox rather than making their point about what/why they screwed up the story then its not much of a mystery why their ratings are what they are, most people see it as nothing but lemming hatred and ignore it - mysterty solved.

There is no such thing as unbiased news, Fox + almost any other source will give you both sides of an issue. And thats why Fox has high ratings, they are the only major News outlett providing that view. But if enough people believe hard enough I bet they just go away...yeah sure thats it /sarcasm.

edit: PS - Did you know Fox challenged all the major news networks to release their internal "News Direction Memos" along with Fox. To my knowledge the other networks declined the offer and none have been released. If the other networks were so clean why not take up the offer and take down the big bad Fox for good?

I watch the sex scene. Its not even jack off worthy, so Fox news can fine some other BS story to tell us than About Mass Effect..

I hate when the Media tries so hard to ruin a great game

EA will buy as many Companies they can,so they can make a super Console that
will have the most exclusive games, and Will win the next GEN

He should have said there are more gamers than people who watch fox news.

MOst likely, anyone who is old enough and intellignet enough to be able to get the game and get through te game, is old enough to watch said scene. Anyone who isn't probably has the game bought for them by he parents who complain about it.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go watch Fox and see commercial for shows that have far more sexual content then what is shown in Mass Effect. And all I have to do is go and turn on the TV. Not play though a 30 hour adventure making many decisions. Of course I wont know which ones to make to see said scene.

LOL at no one other than Geoff have actually ever played the game. They just hate it.

"I'm too stupid to activate the parental controls, so I'll complain about this game instead" That's basically what they said.

So why did they call it the 360?because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away- some guy on Gamespot

There was no choice, they ran out of stuff to say about Anna Nicole Smith.

@topic,

First of all, there were really only two people who were off base imo. The psychology chick who basically decided she was only going to accept the studies that say what she wants them to say (and there are studies for both cases), and the chick who thought the game should be "AO".

The rest of these folks were doing exactly what a lot of people on this forum have said they should do...and that is keep this stuff out of the hands of their children. If you have kids in the house you probably shouldn't have this game where they can have access to it, and thats just good parenting. As long as we are going to use the ESRB it doesn't make sense to get bent out of shape when parents actually follow the guideline. The only reason this game garnered national attention was the sex scene which really this is the first major release to have interactive sexual scenes, so it was bound to get some coverage.

Basically my position is this: If they are avoiding the game because they have kids then thats good parenting. But if they want to condemn the game because it has sex then they need to pull their head out of their ass and realize that its a part of life and hiding from it isn't going to change anything.

Just remember that while to us it seems like they are completely without the facts here, to them we are completely missing the underlying point. Its a fundamental difference in viewpoints really. But...I still think the screwed up the story.

PS - I still lub you stof~

The hell? What makes you think I'm basing it all off this article? Fox News doesn't have a shred of credibility to their name. You know why I said "I'm suprised they didn't bring on Jack Thompson"? Because the day of the Virginia tech school shooting, they had Jach Thompson on as a "School Shooting Expert" And while he tiraded against video games stating that that was the most likely cause, not a single person thought to ask if there was any evidence the guy ever played videogames.

Fox News is the most biased, sensationalistic, yellow journalism predisposed, popularist propagandist tool on the air.

John Gibson, Bill O'reily, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter shouldn't be allowed within 200 feet of a microphone let alone be given prominence. And it's even corrupted other stations, as CNN has let Lou Dobbs off his leash in an attempt to compete.

There really is no way to defend that joke of a station. This ME story is just a small, lesser example of their lunacy.

PS - I still lub you Sqrl... sort of.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Well, to be fair, MSNBC did also bring in JT except he was questioned more rigorously by Chris Matthews.

I don't like Fox News generally because they host people like O'reilley who seems to be sending out his workers to camera ambush executives from rival News Networks.
