Forums - Gaming - Epic Mickey 2... we need to talk about this

Hard to tell due to release date skews but its not tracking far behind the original is it? First one had ~400k overall in second week... one probably was out longer then the other though in that time?

The original sold a lot due to good legs and selling a huge amount in the last week before xmas, when it had a bigger advertising push and more families were shopping for last minute presents. Really wouldn't write it off yet, but I'd imagine the dip in Wii software sales will hurt this from catching the first as well, the audience isnt there on other consoles.

When a game gets reviewed in the 60's and 50's (across different platforms), there is nothing else to discuss.

It was a failure of a product.

The first game left a bad taste in gamers mouths and the second game had mediocre reviews. The surprise isn't that it sold less on PS360, it's that it sold more to Wii and Wii U gamers who should have known better.

With the PS360 controllers the game is no fun. I liked the first game on Wii. I would have bought Micky2 for Wii U if the port had been better.

I really enjoyed the first Epic Mickey. So, even if the second one isn't selling well, I'm still going to buy it.

Really seems like a shame.

But i'm also sort of glad that you lot convinced me to go for Ninja Gaiden 3 and Arkham City over this.

You've got to be kidding me. You were hesitating about Arkham City?

Could the fixed camera be due to having to support the Wii?

Tease.

Did you play those versions, cause it sounds like you're talking out of your butt. PS3 uses DS and MOVE so it has the same controls as the Wii version. Wii U was not a good port, but what was stopping you from getting the Wii version? If you wanted the game you would have bought it.

OT Why do we even need to talk about it, most of us knew how it was going down from the jump.  IT didnt get anywhere near the ads that the original did. The first had a massive billboard in times square, the 2nd not so much. IMHO the first wasnt that great to begin with, i think alot of people feel the same which is why they didnt make a 2nd purchase on this game. hell the 2nd one aint great either, not bad, but nothing I would be paying full price for.

Longstanding bias against Western games.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Metroid is a Japanese game. The Arkham series is built around the awesome progression system of the Metroid series. :P

Plus, it's Batman!
