God no. SM3DL was my least favorite 3D Mario. I'd rather have a third Galaxy.

I once said that New Super Mario Bros 2 would cannibalize Super Mario 3D Land's sales, causing it to end at 8-10 million.

Luckily though, I am glad I was wrong.

3D Land seems to hang on extremely well, and it deserves the sales. It will be a fierce battle between Mario Kart 7 and 3D Land. I don't think 3D Land will outsell Mario 64 (12m on N64) as the best selling 3D Mario, so sales will slow sooner than those of Mario Kart 7. I see Mario Kart passing 15m, so it's legs will be a little longer. Therefore I think Mario Kart 7 will make before 3D Land does, but only barely.

New Super Mario Bros. will be the third, but it will a while after. I think, at the end, it will end up higher than 3D Land though, both in the same range as Mario Kart like they are on DS. Animal Crossing seems to be about as big today than it was on DS, so that one will be fourth, but won't go very far over 10m. The other three of today's top sellers don't stand a chance though. Monster Hunter, Nintendogs and Zelda Ocarina of Time (sadly) won't get much higher.

I haven't played the game yet, so I wouldn't know. All I know is that those 2D elements in Galaxy 2 was pure brilliance! Why can't they make a 2D Mario like that!?

A mario game... I think Mario kart 1st.

Going by current trends, it should be Super Mario 3D Land. Unless some new Mario Kart 7 bundle- or advertisements launches out of nowhere.


Never though I'd see something like this after watching Mario Kart Wii's impressive sales.

This isn't an indication of MK7 selling poorly, just of 3DLand selling very well.

Actually its not it can surpass 10mil but its a very small chance it'll be 1st! If it was released this year (all regions) This could of had a better chance but we'll see! Only thing is SM3DL is bundled and MK7 is too. My money is on MK7 Because its bundled with XL!

Yes, I hope they make it with Co-op! That game is amazing like a 2d-3d platformer should be!

One would think that New Super Mario Bros. 2 would slow down/steal some of 3D Land's sales, but it never really did. Who knows, 3D Mario might become even more popular than 2D Mario at this rate.
