New Million-Seller! Paper Mario: Sticker Star

Paper Mario: Sticker Star was the final 3DS title to pass the million-sales milestone in 2012, doing so in the final week of the year (ending Dec 29) and becoming the ninth 3DS game to do so overall.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star was released a relatively short time ago, mid-November in North America and early December in Europe and Japan. It reached one million sales after just seven weeks on sale in North America and four weeks in each of the other regions.

Up to this point, each successive Paper Mario title has sold more units than the previous. Sticker Star is the first game in the series released on a handheld console, and it is unclear how this and other factors will affect its lifetime sales so soon after release. However, it seems safe to predict that the game will ultimately sell at least 1.4 million units, enough to outsell the first Paper Mario game for N64.

I'm surprised by Paper Mario SS, never thought it would sell so well. Can't say I'm happy for it, though. They might see this as an excuse for them to continue butchering the series.

Thought Kid Icarus would be there too, sadly it's 3,633 units short . Oh well, at least a minimum of two new million sellers next week, maybe even three if Layton get's enough sales.

Congrats Paper Mario!

I think Pokémon, Kid Icarus, and Layton are all shoe-ins next week. Layton needs under 44k; it hasn't sold less than 47k since its European and American release at the end of October, and it sold over 75k these past two weeks. I think it'll be fine.

Kid Icarus , Pokemon Rumble Blast , Paper Mario , already reached 1million and btw Professor layton is the next game to reach 1 million sales its almost there.

Pokemon and Kid Icarus obviously will. Likely Layton too yes, but you never know. Could end up like Pokemon this week with just a couple sales too few. But I agree, Likely all three are in next week. Pretty good for a handheld actually, it'll have 12 million sellers in under two years!

Paper Mario got there pretty fast too, it's doing pretty well actually. Didn't expect that. Didn't expect it to flop either, but I thought it would've taken a couple more weeks .

3DS is doing well!! KIU really deserves 1m sales

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Keep adding those million sellers! This year is going to be a great year for the 3DS.
Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Luigi's Mansion, etc...
Now the only question is... Where the fuck is Advance Wars?

This is how I feel... I know a lot of people feel positively about the series but I just... don't like the sticker combat, man. :|

I actually like Super Paper Mario though . . .
