I think your wrong because 3DS should still have really strong sales these next two weeks including third because it falls two days before christmas.

This week (Dec 15) always push high up in sales and with great bundles especially best buys 129.99 bundle SM3DL and 159.99 XL bundle MK7 hardware sales will go up like crazy.
Following week most likely push up even more and deals at kmart this week are the same as best buys last week, With other retails dropping the price or giving out free gift cards its sure to sell crazy!

My prediction for weekly is the following
Dec15>>> 850k
Dec22 >>> 1,050k
Dec29 >>> 580k

This is my take on the situation!

Well I didn't do math on this so yours sound better than my prediction.  If I get all analytical about this though I'd need the data for the release forward for Super Mario 3D Land.  I want to know the spikes in other words.  Newer games also sell more than older games but mario is a special case during the holidays.  If I had more data I'd try to give more of a prediction but ehhh,  I'll just use yours lol

Why are u saing that.. that's a software point of viev..  New 3ds owners has a lot of games to choose from.. not only 2d and 3d mario but mk7, and atleast 50 other good games..?

And I'm sure that 3d will sell close to a mill.. this week.. = They will top last years record sales..

It has no new games that will sell consoles.  It is relying on past hits instead of new is what I was saying

Your right about no new game, We only got Paper Mario SS which is good but nothing impressive to push hardware.

The best thing Nintendo could of done and i really believe this would of pushed hardware another mil-2mil is release of Luigi Mansion or AC new leaf(AC in America). If both i think 3mil is a good estimate. Casuals and even fanboys would of eaten up sales if Luigi Mansion came out IMO.

But in reality not alot of people have a 3ds or the XL and with prices drop and free game ($80 value), i dont kno when a better time to get the system is! SM3DL and MK7 have the best legs in 2011 of a handheld so its best to bundle, but i rather them bundled KIU. So underrated!

The 3DS isn't even 2 years old yet! (it will be 2 years old on 26/02/2013) what is with so many people aging consoles?

Nope. I don't think so.
Vita is really cutting into 3DS sales this holiday as is mobile gaming.
