I noticed when viewing a post earlier today that the site was getting near 5 million posts (you can check this on the URL), so when will we hit the magical 5 million?
For reference, here's some classic milestones in the past:
100000 (how fiery!)
5000000 ?
At time of posting, the latest post was 4951864, so we are 48,136 posts to go. The 4 millionth post was about 20 months ago, and in the space of a day there have been 2,508 posts. So could we see it before the end of the year?
So who will get it this time? It could be anyone really...but it will be me. We know that already. Congratulations me!

(Extra- This post is 4951874, so there's been 10 posts in the 2 minutes it took for me to post this thread. In addition we should celebrate the 150,000th thread which was also pretty recent! )
UPDATE- The latest post as of now is post 4953621 4953753 4955003 This shows that, since the making of this thread, there have been 2,049 posts in a 26 hour period. It puts the total ever closer to the magic 5,000,000!
UPDATE 2- Wow, what a few hours we've had! 4956244 is the go=to number now, or 1,241 posts in the past 9 hours. That's certainly pretty darn good, and puts us under the 44k mark.
UPDATE 3- Another great day has lifted the post total to 4961677, or over 5,000 posts in the space of 36 hours! Less than 40k to go!
UPDATE 4- After coming back I notice we're now at 4970106, less than 4k to go! Great times!
