a lot of people just sign the petitions and won't even bother buying the game if it eventually comes out and the devs know that.
I mostly sign these things so that others can get what they won't not because I care for it myself

Gamepur Christopher Marcil has started an online petition demanding Dark Souls 2 for Nintendo Wii U. Recently at VGA 2012, Namco Bandai and From Software announced Dark Souls 2 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but nothing was said whether the game will launch on Wii U or not. So if you own a Wii U and wants to play Dark Souls II head on over and sign the petition. You can sign the petition HERE.

Seems to entirely miss the point here. If From Software wanted to make it easy and safe for people to manage their inventory they would have put a pause function in the game. So putting the inventory management on the gamepad just gimps the game's difficulty factor. So Wii U version of Dark Souls 2 would be what... the soft cock's version?
The point in making inventory management the way they do is so that you have to find a safe place to play around with your inventory rather than doing it mid-battle or where enemies are in the viscinity and could spot you any time. Putting it on the gamepad defeats the purpose of the game's very deliberate design.
The cost things makes no sense. The only people who fall into the can't afford PC gaming rig/don't want to pay for XBL Gold / don't have or want a PS3 are...WIi owners. So bascially, bring Dark Souls to Wii U because that's the system Wii owners who are into hard and violent games will buy. Wow most revelatory! Should be good for about 100K sales.
I think Dark Souls should be on Wii U, because, well, why not? It's not like Wii U is so vastly different that it would be costly and high risk to make a Wii U version. Though perhaps Nintendo is trying to force everyone to make use of the game pad, and Dark Souls 2 really doesn't need game pad functionality.
I think FS might just do a double port at some stage. It's all well and good to moneyhat a sequal to make it exclusive, but Wii U really should get Dark Souls as well as Dark Souls 2.

I've never seen any violent game on Wii, except those developed during coffee breaks whith a ridiculous budget, so it has yet to be proven how much violent games could sell on WiiU. So far ZombieU is the 2nd most sold game on WiiU, right?
About hard games... SSB is very competitve at high difficult levels -> 11m copies; DKCR is the hardest plaform game on sale at full price -> 5.75m copies; Monster Hunter isn't exactly an easy game -> 2m copies.
edit: Anyway I wouldn't even consider Dark Souls a really violent game, it's a fantasy game whith a very dark tone, but you don't see in it more blood and gore than in the average RPG.

Because everyone can afford multiple consoles....
I LOVE ICELAND!

- It's not possible to pause in real life
- It adds to the suspense
- You have to be more tactical as you need to plan what you are running around with - blindly marching forward = death
- The serious fans are in favour of this feature
Summing up: I don't like you comment.
Is Chrsitopher Marcil anyone important? If not i don't see how this won't be like the dozen of other petitions that exist.

Hence hard AND violent. It would be beyond ignorant for anyone to claim Nintendo doesn't do hard games.
Do you see the market for SSB, DKCR and Monster Hunter having a significant cross over with the market for Dark Souls 2? Of those 3 Monster Hunter, perhaps. That's a game that sold well, but not amazingly well. And while they're in the same broad genre they aren't much alike. So I don't see much of a ppoint to be made by looking at the sales of those 3 games as any kind of indicator of the sales potential for DS2. It would struggle to sell 250K I reckon. The market for Dark Souls is heavily weighted to PS3 because that was where it all started with Demon's Souls. Dark Souls PS3 > 2x 360. I would think 360 > 2x Wii U if it did get a Wii U release.
I haven't yet played Dark Souls, but I've played Demon's Souls. Demon's Souls is a violent game. Its ratings classification is "strong violence". I assume Dark Souls is on the same level in terms of violence as Demon's Souls.
I think it's a mistake for Wii U fans to look backwards and demand last gen IPs make a transisiton to Wii U. Have DS2 by all means, but don't expect it to do anything for WIi U sales. New IP for the new generation it what's needed.
