Indeed, note that halo and gears are the 2 highest voted. Both 360 exclusives. I do in part agree with Gears but halo? No.

Of the highly acclaimed games I've actually tried out I could never get into final fantasy 7, Mario 64, Zelda 64, or smash brothers. Im not saying theyre bad games but they just didnt appeal to me. Of more recent games I thought bayoneta was really overrated. It was just too weird for me.

With some of these games, I think it would be impossible to claim they're overrated. I mean, Wii Sports has a 76 on Metacritic. Not exactly stellar. And no one could doubt the impact it had on the industry.

I can only speak for the games I've played -- Gears of War, Halo, Wii Sports, and Twilight Princess -- but none of them are overrated. Gears is arguably the best third-person shooter ever made, Halo is the game of the decade, Wii Sports was a revolution, and Twilight Princess is a masterwork.

If we are talking about Metascores then Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 beats all those games in the OP easily. Best PS1 game, 2nd best Dreamcast game and 2nd best GBA game? No way.

If we are talking about bad games that are praised as the bestest thing in the world there are bigger offenders than those.

Oblivion is the most overrated game ever. But halo out of that list.

The credibility of this article was ruined by the fact that wii sports was put on the list. Seriously. How can you call a game that was despised all across the internet overrated?

This list is missing mario galaxy.

How is CoD not up there? I am also shocked Uncharted is not up there as well.
