Analyst believes Xbox 360 was the big Black Friday winner in the US

Analyst Doug Creutz believes Xbox 360 was the star performer in the US video games market in November.

He reckons Microsoft’s machine shifted 1.35m units throughout the month, which of course included America’s crucial Black Friday shopping holiday. While strong, that would mean sales were down 20 per cent year-on-year.

He also estimates that only 450,000 Wii U consoles were sold, with limited production capabilities pegged as the reason. Also predicted are $50m in Wii U software sales.

Contrary to other estimates Creutz predicts a flat performance from 3DS at 800,000 units and further struggles for Vita with just 190,000 unit sales.

Creutz also anticipates that sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops II will show an annual decline for the franchise, but only because there was an extra week’s worth of sales in the comparable period in 2011.

Halo 4 sales are predicted to come in at 2.9m units with Assassin’s Creed 3 shifting 2.6m.

Here are Creutz’s full set of predictions?

360 - 1,350,000
PS3 - 850,000
3DS - 800,000
Wii U - 450,000
Wii - 170,000
DS - 260,000
Vita - 190,000
PSP - 8,000

"Wii - 170,000"

LOLOL! This dude obviously didn't read Nintendo's press release. Wii sold 300k on Black Friday week alone.

No big suprise there.

I believe PS3 is the big winner. It is the only console which was up YOY from last years black Friday.

In other news winter is cold and summer is hot.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I believe xbox360 is the big winner. It is the only current-gen-console that was released in 2005 and still outsold all the other ones on Black Friday.

This guy is the most useless analyst ever. It's confirmed the Wii sold more than double his prediction Black Friday week alone.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
