Forums - Sales - There's no PS Vita games in the global software chart, and we NEED to talk about it.

Well, I think the first conclusion is that home console software sales crush handheld console sales, especially when the installed base for those consoles is tens of millions higher.

Why make threads about the obvious?

lol how many of "we need to talk about it" threads are there...

and yet no matter how much they talk about it. It doesn't mean a damn thing.

Whatever happened to originality?

MBP killed it.

Plus: Turkish thread > This thread

OT: this topics are fun, when done correctly and whe they are scarce...

Nintendo and PC gamer

This meme was absolutely driven dead. You have successfully beaten the dead horse.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Persona 4 Golden is at #33 and Liberation at #40. There are Vita games in the global chart, look harder.

There are handheld games in this chart. One of them is even a year old, so the argument that console games crowd handheld games out of the chart doesn't really fly. Now let the excuses commence.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Seriously, what good is talking about it going to do? We all acknowledge PSV is underperforming and these titles just aren't going to make a difference. And they were mostly disappointing in and of themselves.

Unless Sony does what Nintendo did - cut the price substantially and release multiple huge titles - GT and GoW for example, this will only continue to spiral downward. Poor system sales = poor software support = poor system sales, etc. And I don't think Sony can afford to shallow losses on Vita hardware on what might already be a lost cause.

Just wait till the BIG games come out.

Did you really not understand my post even a little bit?  The whole thing about installed bases being kind of important to sales and stuff?  The 3DS only has three games on the chart and it's doing well, why the hell would a handheld system that isn't doing well and has a tiny installed base have any games near the top?  That's not an excuse, that's bloody common sense.  Unless you're going to seriously tell me that you EXPECTED a struggling system to be moving vast amounts of software?

So, again, with the common sense thing explained for you, do you really think we need a thread to point out the obvious?
