Sony bend is doing that Uncharted Poker game that was rumored/leaked, instead of making Syphon Filter or something worthwhile.
don't get your hopes up, they should stop making games, and start marketing them, they released so many this year, and they bombed.

not saying that I care they bomb or anything, I just care that I enjoy the games screw publishers and their money, but if I see it from their view, its better that way.

Looked at the job description, mostly generating software for third and first party to use as well as greenlighting projects. Looks like an external dev support team. like XDev in SD and Europe

That uncharted card game is probably only being developed by a few people at Bend, and certainly hasn't been in development for a year lol.

I'm sure they're doing another GA-like uncharted, or another game of that caliber

The Uncharted card game is done, it comes out in a couple of days. Probably took very little resources and time at all. People asked for smaller mobile type games so I expect this was their response.

As someone who gets way, way too addicted to the little card games in full sized releases, I would probably actually like it.

+ A very small amout of the studio worked on the card game. It's more like a DLC for Uncharted:Golden Abyss without the need to own the game.

ND is most probably aren't hiring at the moment because they did a LOT of hiring last year...I remember reading some big names from other studios joining them.

sony Bend can do no wrong for me...love their work. Excited to see what they have coming. Especially considering UC GA was released a year ago. And no, that card game is done by another dev team...these guys are most probably helping out a bit ala pulling a santa monica if you know what I mean

But a new studio eh? Wouldn't be surprised. One of the best things to emerge this gen was the sony first party.

The one thing sony does thats actually profitable is there investment on the software side. Not sure if any of this years games PSall stars/Little Big planet karting and LBP Vita are going to be profitable though.
