Probably not, it's made in the USA. And it's a new IP. And the only Japanese-friendly characters are Toro & Spike. And it doesn't have the words "Monster", "Animal" or "Dragon" in the title.
Looks like I missed out on a few games. Dragon Age, Rock Band, etc. This may be a while.

And it launched in June the next year in Europe selling 30k units. All together, that's around 120k. But by the time it launched in USA and especially in Europe, it certainly wasn't a new Ip anymore. The game had already gained several months of hype much before it's release. It didn't face the circumstances of a true new IP. Therefore, I'm not going to give it the full 120k, since it wouldn't have sold that much if it launched worldwide at the same time. Instead, I'll give it the 90k |
If that's the case, why is Bioshock included?

What is your suggestion?

Oh yeah, Parappa might be a big draw as well.
And I mean - I dunno, you might be right, I just wouldn't be expecting much. Sales of fighting games have dropped off a cliff in general lately, but especially in Japan. The latest Tekken & Dead or Alive instalments have done pretty horribly (which is why I didn't list Heihachi as a Japan-friendly character anymore, too).
Is LEGO Batman a different series than Lego Star Wars?
Also, should Dark Souls be counted as a new IP?
Still several first week data issues.
Demon's Soul - 122k
BioShock - 52k
GRiD - 66k
Dante's Inferno - 179k
Valkyria Chronicles - 108k
LBP - 281k
Dead Space - 140k
Dragon Age: origins - 161k
