Graphics DO matter. For me the order of importance in a game are this:

1) Story + Scope + Soundtrack
2) Graphics + Great character design + Great environments
3) Gameplay
4) Content
5) Some kind of story mode co-op.

If the first 2 are not present in a game, then I dont buy it.
