Forums - Gaming - Vgchartz is more informed than outside sites

Last night I was watching a video about the WiiU and they were talking about the sells being dissapointing.....I just laughed but then I looked at the comments and people were making some pretty dumb comments about how the WiiU underperformed because it sucks blah blah blah.  One kid said he is waiting until the price drops soon.  We know that won't happen because it's being sold at a loss already. It's been a while since I've read outside websites comments and now I remember why.  people are very misinformed.  We on vgchartz already know that the WiiU has went through it's first shipment of 400k and it had a good launch like the wii.  we also know that the WiiU is being sold at a loss but one game being sold makes it a profit. people on there didn't even realize that these are just U.S. numbers.  Anyways I have to say I respect Vgchartz members that much more now after reading comments last night.

This is why I'm still here despite the numbers being off a lot. They give us a general idea at least, and we talk about everything to do with sales. People on sites like IGN and N4G just look at everything that's posted there and eat it up without considering all factors.

And we wouldn't have it any other way, we love you here <3 lol

99,9% of humans are ignorant, 0.01% are Vgchartz frequenters. (my numbers are off but that's the downside of being a Vgchartz'er)

Yep because we never get those types of comments on VGC.

lol I know we have some pretty ridiculous people on this site but I think the good out numberes the bad.

To be fair most people dont care at all about game sales, it's a very obscure thing to be interested in. I certainly wouldn't brag about my knowledge on such a thing or use Vgchartz numbers as evidence.

I do, ... at work, ... with my management. To show them I have an interest in the business strategy side of things, and can help with visualization of numbers. (so long as I'm confident they won't know how to get back here and look up my posts or recognize my user. ;)

Well if people don't care then they souldn't talk about something failing if they don't know what they are talking about.  i would think that would be common knowledge among people.

We are so smrt!

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

And the Vita had good launch sales 1.1 million world wide, is the most powerful handheld console available, and wasn't going to get a price drop. I knew this would happen to the Wii U. Console wars and the internet has destroyed the culture. We will have to wait and see if Wii U does drop off in sales.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
