Forums - Sales - Vgchartz's Weekly US-Vita Numbers Are Off by 50%?!

Damnyouall said:

By whom? All sources reported 525K in NA (which is of course way more than 395K).

That's 525K in the US alone. Apparently there was a 200% increase in its sales in Latin America compared to last year as well. Who knows what the final numbers are for the whole of NA, but they will most certainly be above 395K and even 525K at that.

So is this going to get corrected?

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

"People don't pay attention to a lot of the details."-Yusuf Mehdi explaining why Xbone DRM scheme would succeed

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360,”-Don Mattrick

"The region locking of the 3DS wasn't done for profits on games"-MDMAlliance

Vita was overtracked anyway. Should cancel each other out in the end.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Vgchartz always seems to track well during the year but when the holidays arrives.. well you know :)

Sony has a long history of announcing their shipment numbers as sales.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

That's not 50%, that's 100%

Nobody could have predicted such an increase for ps3 or vita reliably.
I have been here for years, and for years ps3 has been undertracked.
I really don't mind it though because i prefer having a nice surprise every week than to fall flat on numbers.
