It seems we Spaniards are good only for this (Waninkoko and Marcan are from here)

Broadway frequency is 729 MHz, if I remember correctly.

If it was a portable system that would be a good enough reason, but it's constantly plugged into the mains, so why would it have to be super energy efficient? |
My guess is that it would also be easier and safer to overclock later on in its cycle without overheating.
It's a disappointment is that´s the real clock speed of the Wii U CPU.
Wii U will have the same problems had PS2 like the frame rate drops 'cause the CPU is too slow.

Why is this stupid?
Its been known for a while now that WiiU CPU is discussed by devs as a "enhanced" Wii CPU. This clearly is that.
Its the same architecture... twice as fast... on top of being 3 cores vs 1. Considering the physical size of the CPU we've actually seen and measured... it makes 100% sense. I was actually thinking it would be closer to say 2.5GHz, but yeah its Nintendo.
See my comparison thread for more info. Its been updated.
I want to see them hack the Wii U to see if they can get it to run Blu-Ray discs. Also a DS emulator would be interesting.
So much for "makes up with it with clock speed". Definitively slower in both clock speed and (if PPC750) instructions per clock compared to the 360.
It's now time to use the Wii U ports as a positive example: despite how slow the CPU is, they can make a game look about as good as the 360 because of the GPU. But it's also therefore time to stop saying that Wii U will eventually be far ahead of 360.
I feel like it is extremely likely that this chip can be overclocked with software. How big is the WiiU power brick? 75 Watts or something right. We know that the whole machine only draws 32 watts at current load capacities. Thats less than half the available power. On top of that, the WiiU can't power an external HDD by itself. I think there's more to this picture than the initial hack can reveal.
