Forums - Nintendo - IGN:PES on Wii is the true next gen PES

the article reads "after the relative disappointment of the Xbox 360 and PS3 incarnations"
It's funny that someone else also noticed they gave these so called "disappointed incarnations" a score of 9+.

The controls sound like they will be a mixed blessing. It sound almost like this game will play more like a PC RTS (the fastest key smasher wins) especially multiplayer than a sport game .

A:IGN isn't just some guy that runs the whole place, they have a very large staff of people. I doubt the guys that wrote the PES wii article are the same guys that gave the PS3 and 360 versions a 9.

and

2:PC RTSs are button mashers? Winner is the fastest button masher? What? This will be far more skill based and realistic than any other sports game out there.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

POST EDIT

Is this game really coming out in North America on March 11? If so -- WOW.

Thanks

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Even if true, more realistic doesn't always mean more fun.  I remember years ago when they tried to make football more realistic by playing through the eyes on the quarterback. The idea didn't fly and for good reason.

If you can control so many men on the field at once then the one who faster at the controls (no matter if it's a mouse/keyboard or the IR mouse/stick) will win.

They said Relative Disappointment meaning that even if they got 10's and proved outstanding then relative to the innovation to the wii version they are still a disappointment.Just means as I feel in FPS now - the Wii has brought so much more to the table than the traditional gamepad could ever do.

After the horror show that were the 360/PS3 versions Konami better had release a decent version..

Will be my first football game since Nintendo World Cup on the NES. I'm really, really happy about Konami's effort, and I hope it will pay off. I'm mildly optimistic.

You seem to miss my RTS reference so I would say it's more like 95% of RTS games ever made. Thus is why I stated it (controls) will be a mixed blessing which is even hinted in the article..
