They don't need the extra year this time. Brand awareness has been established. They're dominant in the biggest market in the world.

PSBrand dosn't do that bad in america and dominate  xbox brand in Europe and Japan

The majority of gamers do not care about GamerTags or Gamerscores. The majority of gamers just play Call of Duty and maybe an occasional big game like Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. You could have a point about hardcore gamers but they are the minority.

Yeah right. In the US the PS3 is getting outsold by the 360 by like 15 million, 3 times the gap that the PS3 has over 360 in Europe. So how in the world does the PS3 "dominate" 360 in Europe but then do "not that bad" in comparison in the US lol.

Also, it's sold more in Europe than the US.

If Sony didn't make many error with the ps3 they would had a lower gap in USA and  sold many much more in Europe and many much more in Japan then Xbox360

Ps3 was able to create 5 millions  gap in 3 years for end 2009 to end 2012 imagine if ps3 did outsold xbox360  for the  beginning
