I reckon PS4 will have a staggered launch with Japan in 2013, USA in Feb/March 2014. Not sure about rest of world. Maybe same time as USA or maybe a bit later.

I know Vita did that but I really don't see the logic behind it. Japan doesn't really have Christmas sales boost so launching there near the end of the year really doesn't help. If they were to launch in October in NA and Europe it would be huge even if it was priced at $400. They wouldn't even have to sell at a loss they could easily outperform WiiU by not having a tablet controller. I heard WiiU is under $200 to produce the system itself so they could easily have some awesome specs at $400 (easily 4gb ram and achieve the seamless interface discussed in their meetings).
I want the ps4 next year but i dont see it happening.

Durango is much further along than Orbis. They only need 1 software for the Xbot fans to rally around and buy the hardware
Orbis on other hand needs many IP appealing to different parts of broader Sony fanbase to really move hardware. What games could be in development and ready to release in 2013 for a PS4?

What does that leave? Sucker Punch? They either working on inFamous 3 which doesn't make sense to me or something brand new for PS3 or PSV or PS4.
Do you start to see the problem? If all the best developers for PS3 are still busy with PS3 or PSV titles... than even if they have secondary teams prototyping things for PS4, shouldn't expect new high quality games in 2013 from a PS4 that launches in that year.

IGN said the third (final) Dev Kit is being sent in Janurary, so it should be finished in more than enough time to launch by end of third to fourth quarter 2013.

Most sites and industry people seem to believe one console will be launching in 2013 and it will be the next Playstation based on dev kit movement. IGN was even talking about the specs of the dev kit that was leaked. The Durango was said to have been pushed back to 2014 from leaks, so yeah, its going to be Sony. E3 will be the reveals and Sony will be launching first or it will only be Sony revealing their console.

Durangos dev kit got pushed back, lets hope Microsoft can make it in time for an E3 reveal with Sony.
