Therein lies the issue. Industry isn't fair. Consoles release 1 year apart from eachother and we count lifetime sales. Rival franchise A releases numerous games to Franshise Bs one game per gen. Yearly franchises will inherently have more IP sales then one game that took years to make and are loved by fans.
Gaming industry operates under jungle law. Survival of the fittest. This aint chess where each team has equal resources.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Correct, the gaming industry is not fair. Certain games have advantages over others. But a comparison shouldn't be constructed in a way that it unfairly gives a game an advantage.
Halo 4 may sell above Reach...but not GT5 levels (9 million right now and possibly 10 million by the end of the year)
Halo 4 LT Sales with little bundling: (8.5-9 million)
Halo 4 LT Sales with plenty of bundling later on its life cycle: (10 Million)
GT5 LT Sales with little bundling (11.5 million)
GT5 LT sales with massive bundling like GT3 (13.7 Million)

He is just trying to find an excuse of why GT5 is going to beat Halo 4 and Reach. It is pretty amazing though I remember when GT5 launched people said it would never reach 10m. All those polls meant nothing in the end.
Why do you honestly believe halo 4 will be re-released on the 720? microsoft has never done that with a halo franchise, stop finding excuses.

Finding excuses lol that's rich, I'm sure if MS bundled it with every system it and re-released it every 6 months I'm sure it would crush GT sales, it's only been out a month and it has almost 50% total sales of GT that has been out for two years. Who's really making excuses?

If Sony did that with GT5 too the sales could be near 30 million easy... PS3 sold more than 25 million in the last two years.
So I don't get you point.
