Thanks, Train wreck!

Good to hear, if the game I´m playing only uses the pad screen to show exactly the same thing as the TV, then I definitely want that screen off to conserve battery.

Now this is only working with nsmb u.  If the game has dual function such as nsmbu (ie you can play with either the gamepad or wii mote) then you can turn off the gamepad and control things though the wii mote.  If the game requires the pad to play, then you cannot turn off that function to play directly to your tv with the gamepad off.  I dont know if that makes sense.

Am I the only one confused about ZombiU? It's had:

98 (Gamezone)
92 (ONM)
90 (Eurogamer)
88 (Venturebeat)
84 (CVG)
80 (Destructoid)

75 (IMGMR)
70 (Edge)
62 (IGN)
50 (Gameinformer)
45 (Gamespot)

There's more I've missed, but no game should have that sort of spread.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Probably would have been more appropriate to create this thread in like 2 months. When you see how the system actually fares. Of course 95% of people who bought it day one are going to love it. I loved my Vita too (still do) but it's no secret it needs games.

^This is proof of reviews not being trustworthy.

@Wagram It doesn't need games, it needs high selling games. The Vita has plenty of games, just not very popular. The WiiU has plenty of popular games.

Don't .. know... who... to trust...

@Pezus Ill tell you how good the WiiU Blops 2 port is. Or were you referring to the Wii port(which doesn't exist)?

Popular as they may be, a majority of them are ports. I don't see how that helps the system outside of the few who pick one console per generation.

I'll be probably picking up the system in about a year like I usually do.

I'll likely create a follow-up thread in a few months; similar to what I did with the 3DS and the Vita. That way, you can see how opinions have changed since the launch hype has gone away.

Fixed

Pretty much this. I also feel as though some reviewers weren't expecting quite such a survival-horror game nowadays, and that's thrown them off a little bit. As a big fan of the genre; I am ecstatic to pick up the title. However, I can understand why others aren't.
