at this point i don't even know what "AAA" means anymore, since to me Brawl and Kart and the only worthy AAA titles. stop abusing that term!

e.g.: i'm reluctant to put even WiiFit in there, since it's a new IP, even though it's expected to sell like Brain Age, as in japan. ditto for games like Animal Crossing.

likewise, only GTA4, FFXIII and MGS4 should be included as bona fide AAA titles.

of course in future threads i'll still to refer to things like RE5 and WiiFit as AAA titles, since i'm not so stubborn as to start introducing new terminology or to alter people's definitions.

so why did i make this post... good question. uh whatever, i'll just post this either though it's now just rant.

I'm guessing Square-Enix is a big part of this increased and substantial third party support. I think since the recent Wii "butt-kissings" that have been going on over there, we'll see at least one big announcment to back it up. We've already got a couple of big titles(in japan at least) hitting from Squeenix that will bolster the lineup a little.

 

Capcom isn't done on the Wii, they've always been Nintendo supporters, so we'll definately see something new from them. 

 

That said, the Wii has something that other consoles don't. Fantastic and frequent first party support.

 

Look at the DS, it took years for third party support to ramp up, and now we got some sure enough 3rd party games on the system.

 

In the mean time, Capcom just needs to release a Phoenix Wright game for the Wii, and I'll die happy.

 

Oh yeah, 22nd, No More Heroes, can't wait.

Promising rumors of AAA 3rd party titles is soooo 2007.

2008 is the time to start slapping down those names or shutting up.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is so awesome that it has moved beyond triple A. It is now officially considered a "triple-Chuck Norris" title.
