And now I realize I never gave a hint for my number 39, ah well, here it is!

#39: Age of Empires II: Age of Kings (PC)

Truth be told, I started playing this game completely by chance when my dad heard about it from a friend at work. He decided it might be something fun for the two of us to play together, so he picked it up for me on my birthday. In the spirit of Thanksgiving (though I suppose that's technically over here... or not even celebrated, but whatever), I'd like to say that I'm infinitely grateful for his decision that day, as it provided me with one of the most fun gaming experiences I've ever had. Admittedly, I was never all that great at the game, but that never stopped me from having a good time. I really wish I'd thought to bring it with me when I left the States, but ah well. Probably would've been too distracting anyway, haha.

Yep XD! Although it is the PSP version but you still got it right *_*

Nice, I loved that version since it improved over the original PSX one by a lot .

40. Metroid Prime 2, GC (2004) Nintendo/Retro Studios (last year 38)
The worst of the three main Prime games, but that still gets it up to number 40. I found the enemies and scenario were less believable than in Prime 1 and 3, which de-immersed me from the experience, but the core gameplay that made that series so great is still there. The original version also was quite unbalanced in terms of difficulty, though this was rectified in the Trilogy edition.

Number 39 is a recent game, whose name was changed midway through development to reflect its developer's legacy, although the game itself is unrelated to the developer's prior work.

Not quite I'm afraid. If I say the only country you can get this other game is in America (but us Europeans will be able to get it next week) that should be enough to get it.
