Man, you said it!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Such a small box. I am sure this will be another great hardware from Nintendo. As much as I like Sony's hardware, I like Nintendo's even more due to their durability and quality.

Nintendo sure knows how to make a good looking console. The other two really need some new designers.

Why is the console so elongated?

Why are you asking this in two different threads when it's already been answered? Are you really looking for an answer or just trolling?

Never got answered in the other thread. Someone finally manged to answer it in this thread so don't worry I won't ask it again......calm down.

Still a bad design choice IMO.

I'm a 100% sure Nintendo's Engineers know more about console engineering than you do.

Really? I don't think any of the consoles look ugly. The only issue with any of them is with the WiiU, and that is a worry. It's just too small, and heat I believe will be an issue a year+ passes of your console use. But even with this, don't think they can do any worse than Microsoft did with their first revision of their respectable (somewhat) X360.. So from the "HD" consoles to date, I think Sony is the only one that made a good build.

I question so much from their hardware. I don't get Nintendo with not offering many GB's of space. I get that they are trying to put it in peoples minds that the console is cheap by not offering an HDD. But it's a bad layout. Most people do NOT buying secondary hard-drives. And then Microsoft thought it was a good idea to rip people off and offer their own hard-drives that cost 4x more than a normal one. I love PC's, and with the PS3, it's the only one that feels somewhat open. With the next XBox, they better move from using their unique HDD's. But I doubt that highly, as Nintendo didn't learn anything from their last generation. They just did more of the same. Yes, they came to the HD world but far to late. Next year the WiiU's power will be looked as a laughfest more than likely with the release of the PS4/720. Seems like Nintendo always needs a gimmick. Now they want us to be comfotable with playing games with a tablet. Such wasted resources to run this.

People prolly saying fanboy. But gosh, I love good hardware and I am just left scratching my head with these companies decisions. Only mistake Sony did with their hardware might be the Blu-Ray player for the HD gen. That's only because it's so expensive around the time they launched the PS3, and with that the DVD still holds most games just fine. But with this gen, a Blu-Ray I feel is needed. The increase in data size will be large. You might say without the PS3 going with the Blu-Ray, maybe it wouldn't be around today if they didn't push it out. I see Sony's BR choice as a pro and con. It's far to hard to read that situation. It's just with Microsoft and Ninitendo, their hardware issues are common sense things. Well, common sense to me...

well anything that is not as fat as the ps3 is a bad design choice!

Console is pretty ugly. Cool that it's small but I worry about poor ventilation. Plus, I won't be buying this bad console. The final nail came when they confirmed that they (WiiU) don't come with an Ethernet slot, which I thought is a must have for any serious HD console of the next gen. You can bash games all you want, or the company. But I bash Nintendo because the illusion of Next Gen when some offerings aren't even this gen.

In the end, wired performance is faster and far more stable than Wi-Fi can ever accomplish. People who say it's stone aged tech are clueless baboons. It's old concept, but it's still the best performer by far in all categories. People have a problem, it's one wire. And as a hardcore PC gamer of old (CS 1.6), I truly understand how much more beneficial a wired connect is to gaming.

I just hate fanboys. Why can't people just admit mistakes. On this matter, Nintendo made one. For many people it's not a deal breaker, but for me... It is. This is just a reflection on their priorities heading into this "next gen". I'll take the next fairy this time around, and start my generational leap with the PS4 (unless they do something stupid too).

What a weird area to save a few bucks on building your new console. I honestly don't get Nintendo.

I'm a network administrator.  I've already crushed the Wired/Wi-Fi debate in the other thread so I won't repeat it here.  To sum up, your Wi-Fi can suffice just fine for online gaming if you optimise it correctly.   But if you don't want to, or can't, work on your settings, then buy the $15 dongle.

If you let a $15 dongle separate you from buying a console or not, you never intended to buy it in the first place.

If by crushed you mean that you have spouted your own opinions and disregarding other people's experiences, then by all means. Feel like you have crushed something. lol

@Pesmerga: Yeah right.

Nintendo HW is the best / sturdiest / longest living in console gaming. Always.
The Wii U design is fantastic as it is simple, clean and can be allowed into my media hub below the TV. Compared to the Wii U, the other two look like toys.
I dont understand why a console needs to look different / awkward compared to all other media players.

That's a big 'if'. We're talking about homes with numerous devices (phones, microwaves etc.), walls and a whole host of different building setups. Virtually no one is going to optimise their wi-fi connection; it's designed for convenience. On average, a home wired connection is going to confer an advantage over a home wi-fi connection.
