so what does heavy gamepad mean? if it's like the 360 controller it's perfect for me, if it's maybe 20% more it's also no problem. if it's like the old xbox controller it would be also ok i just would have to adapt to it the first 10 minutes or so. ( i don't even remember how heavy the old xbox controller was but i believe it was more than 20% heavier as the 360 controller)

You are probably the only person I heard that says the GamePad is heavy....everyone else says is extremely light.

And the buttons is just a matter of getting used to, you're probably so used to the Dualshock or the 360 controller that you can't hold anything else, which is something bad imo.

At store demos it doesn't have a battery. It still may be light without being plugged in but it would defiently be heavier than what most of us have experienced.

The buttons are in no way just a matter of getting used to if you don't like them at first. If they feel bad, they feel bad. The only thing that changes with time is you get used to them feeling bad.

I heard some people saying the GamePad is probably the same weight as the 360 controller (maybe a little bit heavier).

Feeling bad is most of the time a matter of personal interest. I for one don't like the Dualshock that much, when I play with my friends it feels awkward, so I personally like the 360 controller a lot more. But that doesn't mean the Dualshock is bad or feels bad, it's just that I don't get used to it since I don't own one. Just because is different and new doesn't mean it's bad.

Please, God, tell me this is a joke and/or a really bad attempt at a troll. Please. I beg of you. Nobody could write something this utterly inane without it being a troll. Right?

You obviously can't imagine some people actually not liking the gamepad. I'm 100% serious. BTW feeling bad is different than feeling awkward.

I imagine those who embrace the pad (even if it feels weird initially) will grow very used to it. I still remember going back to a GameCube game the first time after playing Wii for a while (after i had finished Twilight Princess and grown weary of Wii Sports) and feeling the need to move the controller around. I imagine much the same will happen here.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

You better get in shape if you want to play the Wii U. Or get really fat so you can rest the gamepad on your belly.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Saw thread title, immediatly knew what was going on. feelsgoodman.jpg

What is it with you Sony guys that you need your own threads for everything to express your feelings? We already had the "I'm a Sony guy and I played the Wii U today and it totally suxx ass"-thread.

I don't think so. First, I did say that ZombiU still seem good. Secondly, some of my arguments have been busted and I admitted I was wrong (gamepad weight, see above). I did change my mind about WiiU when I learned about Bayonetta 2 and Ninja Gaiden Razor's Edge, but what I saw today was somewhat a letdown. I still consider the purchase, but later and if WiiU gets more interesting games.

Because Nintendo made the Pad intentionally heavy to cater to the hardcore. You need to be a real dudebro to wield this thing. There will be officially Nintendo licensed dumbbells to get you ready.

not even sure what you are talking about, it's not as if i tried to talk crap about the wii u, i even said it's not a problem if it's like the first xbox "the duke" controller (which is probably 500 gram or more) and i only would have to adapt the first ten minutes so the time i would have to adapt would be like the tutorial of the first game i would play.

Why would this have to be a joke? Just take a look at the Dualshock 4 thread to see how people adapt to a design.
