Forums - Sony - Lets talk Dualshock 4

They should make them more durable. My gamepads, especially one of them, are all in a bad situation now and I use them carefully. Analog sticks get stuck and act weird after some time. The triggers are not really high quality either. It is the complete opposite of the PS3 itself in this regard.

Actually, I wouldn't mind concave L2/R2 triggers with the same surface as the analogue sticks.

SONY should include a "how to hold a controller" manual with the DS4 too.

Really? By gamepad do you mean controller? If so, I have had the same controller since 2007 when I first bought a PS3. My feelings are quite the opposite of yours. Very high quality and as long as you don't bash the controller and treat it with care it should last you years and years.

Yes. It depends on how much you use it I guess. I treat them with care, but I use them a lot. They never break, I give them that but the analog sticks and the triggers need to be redesigned in my opinion. I wouldn't mind if they were cheap to replace but they cost a lot.

Basically, the DualShock is a good controller. If anything it's probably a little 'blocky'. They should smooth all corners a little to make it more comfortable, and add a little weight while you're at it. The DS1 had good weight.

As a side-note, I don't have a DS3. I still have the launch model PS3 (with the biggest HD, 60/80 what is it?), so I only have two SixAxes. Anyone want to tell me what the difference is between the SixAxis and the DS3?

DS3 has rumble and is about twice as heavy

I'm not sure why off-set analog sticks are supposed to be so much better. I have one, a Logitech where you can switch the positions of the d-pad and left stick, and despite trying to get used to it off-set, I didn't really like it. I like the symmetry of the standard positions. It also makes the d-pad kind of awkward. The PS3 is the main system for fighting games, so I think they should stay with what they've got.

I don't have rumble? ...

Well, shows how much I missed that! Anyway, if the DS3 weighes twice the SixAxis, that solves the weight 'problem'!

I think more of the same would be the best option for the fans. But in the end, I think Sony will copy Nintendo and make a DS4 that looks like a enhanced GamePad.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

They won't do that, they're going to push Vita functionality. Probably quite heavily - It's in the names! (Orbis Vita = circle of life or some shit)
