Of course, that's a tessellated, mod applied, PC pic, but I think next gen consoles should at least approach that. So far, 343 has proven they can do wonderful things with visuals, maybe they can push Halo to heights like these next go around.

I personally don't like the way that looks at all, something just feels off about it.

These (1, 2) ones, however, are fap worthy haha

Halo 4 to be released in a few days time and Halo 5 is announced as being in development for XBox 720. Halo 5 to be released in 2014- confirmed?

Crazy, though I don't think we'll get anything quite like that outside of high-end PCs.

I doubt even then. It's not just about power, but how much resources a dev is willing to pour into a title's graphics. Most CG movies don't even look that good imo.

Am I surprised that a Microsoft first-party studio is making their next game, presumably for release in 2014, on Microsoft's next console? No, can't say as I am.

What???? I also expect next gen consoles to look better than the first image, but you can't believe Halo 4 looks better than that... You can't be that much of a fanboy! That image looks in par with some older games....


It does look better. Maybe not completely tecnically better ( im sure the lighting is better again in the CryEngine 3 pic ) but the Halo 4 pic looks more alive. Much better colour usage and better ambience.

I fully expect Halo 5 with 343i behind it to destroy that Cryengine 3 pic next gen if Halo 4 was managed on this generation hardware.

He didn't actually admit it. He said that they have people working on ideas for the next games, like most developers always do. Has Halo 5 development started? Extremely unlikely.

Still screenshots mean dick all. How the game looks in motion is the real deal.

Also Crysis 2 was the biggest POS ever. I'd rather play a game with Duke Nukem 3D graphics thats good than Crysis 2 no matter what it looks like.
