Very serious. I would expect totally Halo 5 to look way better than your pic posted. Its that mock up done with the CryEngine 3. Saw it month or 2 ago. Looks alright. But I much before Halo 4 and the talented 343i guys graphical work on Halo 4. They will blow that pic away.

They achieved the following on 360. Yeah thats Halo 4.

The CryEngine 3 Pic looks much better and it isn't even done for max performance.
Sure Halo4 looks great but even 2-3 year old PS3 Exclusives looked better...Put down your pink love glasses.

Someone with experience would do something amazing with the CryEngine3,Luminous,Frostbyte 2 Engine(maxed out) and other not plastic looking(Unreal ENgine4) Engines.
The Last of Us for example looks insanely good and is going to be the most beautiful game on current Gen consoles without any competition but someone that is allowed to max out those engines mentioned above would even destroy that in seconds.
Cause you have to think > CryEngine3 doesn't have a single game where it is near maximum..,.Crysis2 was dumped down for consoles,even on PC they were lazy cause there was no money go grab.If Next Gen Consoles are closer to PCs again we will see insane things with it.

I think this is a case of technical graphics vs art and aesthetics. I happen to agree that Halo 4 looks better than that Cry3 shot, the artists who worked on H4 must have been quite talented. The Cry3 shot just looks like it has more lighting effects, polygons...etc.

...And let's not foget, "better" is subjective.

Forza Horizon was the king, Halo 4 just owned it for me.

Wow guys... Selnor, I hope you say you like the Halo 4 artstyle more than the CryEngine 3 pic but on a technical level H4 is outclassed. H4 is very impressive that's true, but let's try not to be ridiculous fanboys here.

Also let's keep the constant "insert impossible to reach level graphics only possible through exclusivity PS3 game" out of this discussion.

What???? I also expect next gen consoles to look better than the first image, but you can't believe Halo 4 looks better than that... You can't be that much of a fanboy! That image looks in par with some older games....
