Im not sure about leo-j, but that sure made me feel better.
I'm sure they'll sell out, but Wii has missed out on a huge amount of Xmas sales from extremely conservative production units from Nintendo. Most of those sales may have been missed for a year, that's why PS2 had such crazy NPD numbers this year.

no i dont think its slowing down
Let's make one thing clear here. When the post-holiday supply problems are over in Europe, the Wii shouldn't be selling out in most countries.
Last year, the Wii was selling fine all over Europe, without selling out (UK is an exception). So if we see the Wii being sold out in France in February, that means that demand has increased.

Xmas is over, Wii sales will slow down in France the same as every other console. Don't forget Wii's were widely available in France until just before Xmas (UKers were ordering them from Amazon as there were none free in UK).
Having said that, I'm sure Wii will still easily outsell 360 & PS3 there, but it should be a lot easier to find one in France than in US or UK.
Don't forget most purchases in December would have been presents, most lost sales that time of year won't get made back in January. Still, it's so supply constrained that the normal demand in US & UK should take up the excess from mainland Europe.
slowing down is such a relative term, will it slow from holiday sales, sure, but will it be faster than PS3 and 360, yes
probably around 250-300K WW weekly for the next few weeks
