It is as capable of 3D as a spoon is capable of flying. You could force it with some wackjob physics but by no means is it natural. This is like saying the Vita is compatable with Move just because it has a similar camera to the PS Eye.

I seriously doubt this is true. I think the guy meant that the game can be displayed in 3d on 3d TVs or be displayed on the gamepad.

Hardly doubt this is true, having 3D will add too much to the cost of the controller and I think Nintendo learned from the 3DS that 3D isn't really that important.

They know no one cares about 3D. Hence why they stopped marketing the 3D feature in the 3DS.

Was an awesome announcement until they mentioned it needed 3d glasses.

How is this even possible? Different TVs usually don't even use the same pair of glasses (unless it's passive--and I have active 3D). I would need one set of glasses (aka the ones that work on my TV) to use the TV and then a separate set of glasses for when I look at the controller.

Stop whining. Switching glasses is such a small hurdle to see your map for 1.6 seconds.
