3DS is gonna be beast this holidays but will keep that momentum at least until June-july
There's too many small, medium, big and even 2-3 huge games coming (DQVII, MH4 and Tomodachi Collection)
PSV at an all-time low. Looks like the PSP will sell the most this holiday. New PSV colors should help though.
If Sony can get all these developers who are making PSP games to switch over to PSV for the sequels, I'd say PSV can bounce back.

Sony really dropped the ball with Monster Hunter......why Capcom didn't at least make another one for PSP is beyond me. PSP just won't die in Japan.

And said developers could bankrupt.
Perpective: Its not a charity or a group of friends getting together. Developers need to make money to survive. Sony are the ones that need to do something about the situation. No charity group is gonna risk their necks to save them when they themselves dont do it.
Vita atm = multiplatform or no go. Unless, you got a really good IP that can garantee some sales. It makes little sense to risk putting it on the Vita though.

They weren't planning to release Bravely Default on the eShop, but were forced to as supply couldn't meet demand.

Oh, I guarantee you I didn't! One of my most expected games for the 3DS.
This year was/will be incredible for the 3DS in japan, and one of the best things about selling well one year is that the next is all but guaranteed to be great too - as the sales -> support -> sales -> support cycle goes into cruise control.
and this thankfully feeds the western market too - as we'll see on the already great 1st semester next year.

April-june.
My guess is april though - because this game is announced for a while already.
