Assassins Creed has such a huge fanbase people would buy it even if it had a score of 65. Just look at the Resident Evil sales.

not even, look at Bloodlines, that game has ever worst reviews and it still sold more than a mil. Contrast that to RE Revelations getting great reviews but very little people seem to care. Either way if one believes that reviews affect sales of a game that much then they are trolling or just plain stupid.  By that logic Just Dance should have died out years ago.

Casuals don't read reviews. That's the huge difference.
Neither RE Revelations, Bloodlines or Liberation are targeted at casuals and therefore critic reviews will ultimately matter.
Bloodlines did 1.5m with a much much higher userbase and RE Revelations did 620k without even one holiday season.

The AC franchise is a huge one. they sell millions of copies yearly, sure some of that should trickle down despite reviews just like it did for Bloodlines. Naw critic reviews dont matter much in the face of these juggernaut franchises. Revelations numbers is nothing to be proud of not when ORC did much better on one console in a shorter amount of time and reviewed MUCH worst. Actually ORC proves my point there is a series not aimed at casuals and the game sold well regardless of reviews

Again userbase is the key here. How many of the AC fanbase bought a PS Vita until now and the bigger question will be how many are NOT going to buy a Vita because of the so-so reviews of Liberation ?
How is Liberation supposed to sell more than Bloodlines or hell even being able to momentarily keep up with LittleBigPlanet Vita which currently stands at 130k after 5 weeks when the userbase continues to grow as slow as it does at the moment ?

  • +Assassinations on the go
  • +Lots to do
  • Framerate problems
  • Story issues
  • Forced Vita functionality

wait...What???

Yeah, just like Fable got forced Kinect functionality with Fable: the Journey.

The whole game revolved around Kinect...The Vita functionality is there to add something unique.

Yeah but in both cases it felt forced.

Bloodlines is one of the most famous overtracked games here in VGcharts.

That's 2 years after release.

ah yes I remember that. I thought that would've been adjusted by now.

Vitas main game for the holiday season will not even get 80% in reviews? This will be a disaster for Vita sales and future third party efforts on Vita.

You assume most people actually know what review scores games get

Someone must think they do if they are giving away bonuses for metacritic scores now.

Now that the game have so-so reviews I don't think this game will sell a lot...too many people care about the scores unfortunately. And I don't think the same thing that happen with Resident Evil 6 will apply here, mainly because it is a handheld game.

Meh. I had a blast--A BLAST, I TELL YOU--with Resistance Burning Skies. The score means nothing to me. All that matters is the journey.

cant wait for this and assasins creed 3 tomorow!!!

I feel like cheating with it, if I queue up at midnight will feel like I'm getting it today (Tuesday) even if the clocks say its technically Wednesday.

OT: How can reviews vary that much? The 5.5 looks way off.

Good view to take. I always getting irrated when the odd randomer who hates a game trolls all the reviews sites with a negative review, as they never seem to review it properly.

You should tell that to Capcom, because they are proud of Revelations' sales. I don't hear anyone over there talking about a potential ORC sequel.

Link??? I hope they are, its a well made game.

I expected somewhere around 80 as an average. Not too shabby for a portable Assassins' Creed.
