Well this seems to have become the AC3 discussion thread, so:

-Connor is wooden and I don't like him at all.
-Do you support the revolutionaries or are you just using them? Make up your damned mind already.
-On the other hand, I have a newfound respect for Shaun, and William seems like a nice guy, if a little too intense.
-Achilles is great.
-Haytham was cool. I miss Haytham.
-The combat is largely the same as before, except even simpler, because apparently it wasn't easy enough already.
-Why can't I grab ledges when I'm falling?
-I do like how it's more difficult to use firearms now with the long reload times.
-Boston is completely empty. Seriously. Florence, Venice, Rome and Constantinople all had shops on every street corner. Tailors, blacksmiths, doctors. Boston has like three general stores and nothing else.
-Climbing now involves no skill at all since everything is automated. Climbing trees is really cool, though, and running between them is even better,
-Mail delivery is the worst filler I have ever seen.
-Recruiting assassins actually requires some effort now. Nice.
-Horses are back!
-I love the naval missions and Fort Wolcott especially. The other forts are pretty lame because you can just run in and gung-ho the entire thing.

Better than AC1, better than Revelations, not as good as AC2 or Brotherhood. On the whole, I'm a little bit disappointed, and it's about an 8.5 for me so far.

It would be great to have a pro/con list like this from someone who isn't british and therefore isn't completely biased against the game...

Aldro did and he is not british

No he didn't

Oh, yeah?

Well, he typed that in british language, so nice try lol

The level design of Connors last mission is infuriating. Seriously.

YES. Its fucking AWFUL.

Did anybody else talk to shaun after the first Desmond mission to get the power source where he said that he would like to try and get the animus to go back to when TOWCB were still alive. Kinda makes me think Ubisoft is contemplating this idea. I think it would be pretty awesome if done right. But considering I haven't beat AC3, I don't know what will happen in the next game because we all know they will continue making these games.

oh good fucking god, some of these chase missions are infuriating. I just want to walk up to one of the ubisoft devs and tackle-stab them for some of the stupid, stupid constraints on a couple of the chases.

The first infuriating moment came when I had to chase a dude through town, but wasn't allowed to touch ANYONE. if I did, I lost my full sync. Well, this wouldn't be TOO hard, except the dude was throwing money down to make a half dozen people congregate in his path and you couldn't keep up to him without knowing precisely where he was going and when. did that one over 50 times before finally synching up.

Then the second one I just ultimately failed at because of a glitch. you have to chase a dude before he gets to his destination, but you have to tackle him from above, but it seems straight up impossible to do. Even tackling him seems to be a 95/5% miss ratio. Knowing where he was going, I pre-empted him and tackled him from various higher areas, but no matter how well I aimed, or how sure I was that the guy I was supposed to tackle was highlighted, my character just would not tackle him or would tackle one of the other dudes. I tried this one over 100 times and it seems the game is certainly glitched. I tried pressing square to tackle, circle, or X. I eventually got to a point where I was sure I certainly had him, but one of the guards was chasing me so I went to shoot the guard and despite the guard being highlighted, I shot my target, failing the mission.

fucking glitchy game. This was the only glitch that actually impacted gameplay (the other glitches were visual glitches that had absolutely no bearing on gameplay and that will be reflected in my review), but wow, was it annoying.

Gonna have to wait for a patch to try to get full synch on some of these missions.

Dude, I hated those chase scenes. I literally said fuck chasing the guy and i outsmarted the Ai by remembering his pattern and spearing the shit out of him from the side of a building. Ubisoft is trying to create an animal they cannot tame.

This is funny. after all that, the final chase mission I found to be remarkably simple. Full Synch'd it after only 4 or 5 tries. I'm very proud of that.

Took me around four, but thats annoying when it is so linear. The first two times i fell in the fire, the third time I didnt realize a set piece breaks so you can pass through and then the fourth time i beat it.

AC3 is a really enjoyable game, but it has some flaws.

The frame rate drops drastically inside Boston and New York and both cities seem lifeless to me when compared to Florence and Rome.

Going through cities by horse is weird and the controls have to be fixed in future AC games by Ubisoft.
