33,000 is a nice figure although considering the wii install base it's a drop in the ocean. Good to see that the wii has a good base of hardcore supporters though and I wish them well, however this petition is a lost cause. Either get RE5 on 360/ps3 or wait for the next Nintendo console which will be able to handle the port.

As popular as the Wii is with the family audience, it isnt as popular with hardcoe. resident Evil Final Fantasy Kingdo hearts etc will want to be graphical showcases, why put it on a Wii.
If you want a dumbed down version then wait a year or two after it comes out. If your a big fan buy the console it comes out for. ( And a nice HD tv to go with it mmm)

This industry is working on a simple capitalistic system. "Where the profit is we follow". If this case applies here a Wii version or an exclusivity on the Wii is a step that will eventually follow.

The user base on the most successful console on the previous generation wasn't the majority of hardcore gamers! 114 million PlayStation 2 user can't be all of them hardcore, proved that the most successful franchise according to VGC on the console was GTA with 15 million copies sold WW. Thats 1/10 of the user base of the PlayStation 2. What that tell us?

Let me explain. First this game didn't sell only to the hardcore crowd only, but it was introduced to new audience as well.
Second according to the user base of the PlayStation 2 only the 1/10 who own a PlayStation 2 bought it, not a very good attach ratio for the most successful franchise introduced to the brand.BUT the most profitable because it was sold on the most successful console.The PUBLISHERS also had a LOW RISK for the game because on the market of 60 million users at the time(for PS2) at least 1/60 millions users would have the chance to buy the game and make a profit. Third LOWER production values on the game and for developers to work on, so lower risks for publishers if the game would flop. And forth and most important the FRANCHISE ITSELF was very successful on the market to their 2D counterparts and the projection after their 3D reinvention of the game with its "gore" content and the mass media attention.

The same applies for "BIOHAZARD" Resident Evil Franchise if it will come out on the Wii. Thats only justify the already 2 year port of Resident Evil 4  to be a million seller and continues to sell even now. Also that justifies the result it had on sales for Umbrella Chronicles a game which it is an on rail shooter(also popular genre BEFORE 10 fucking years) and its close to a million seller!

Resident Evil 5 on Wii its unavoidable way for Capcom to publish it even if you like it or not. They can resist money, no company that wants to pay the bills each month that goes by can. Same of the above can fit into the argument for Monster Hunter 3 decision from Capcom.

Your share of thoughts on that ladies/gentlemen. And i want solid points on your arguments no speculations.

Just because the on the wii you can find numerous mini game compilations does not mean that there are no Hardcore games/gamers on the wii. What you just said is not true. I consider myself hardcore, and i own a wii. Many people on this site own wiis, and no doubt most people on this site that do are also hardcore. I can name many many games which are hardcore games... In fact, every game i own on the wii would normally be considered "hardcore", and they sell well too. No doubt, half of those games you mentioned would probably sell better on the Wii than either the 360 or the PS3.

 Just because the console doesnt have a stupid amount of FPS games doesnt mean it cant appeal to "hardcore" gamers. 

while RE4 is the most RE i enjoyed.. i felt that capcom distroyed the series by there own hands..

well.. u never know.. RE5 might be good..? mikami left capcom.. so i kinda doubt it

@tk1989. I dont mean they don't have hardcore gamers. The Wii probably has more hadcore gamers currently. However, the majority of 360 and ps3 are hardcore. These games have always been on playstation they always will be. RE5 I doubt will appear however maybe a side story game. Kingdom hearts. Probably a lesser graphical version or side story. The main version will go to the playstation as usual.

Soriku.. true the kingdom hearts isn't impossible for the wii it could do it. But why release new consoles if you dont also want the games to improve also? A PS3 version would look better and square WILL likely make it for Sony like they do most of their main things. Fingers crossed for you though pal.

The best game of last year was on Wii and you're saying me that REAL hardcore gamers don't like Wii????? You must be kidding me. Hardcore gamers want to play the best games no matter what platform they're on.

If you only want photorealistic graphics go rent a movie.

No one explained why it would be a "godly sin" to strip down the graphics of such games. Also, no one seemed to complain much when a version of RE4 went to the PS2.

So, all this suggests a conspiracy biased against Nintendo in forums round the world.

After all, it's the killing of the enemies that matters in the RE games. The whole point of these games is to use whatever weapons you have your disposal to brutally destroy anything that stands in your way. This is how I played the previous RE games.
