Forums - Sony - Vita's new slogan?: "Console quality on the go"

Decent add, tough why don't they emphasize that this is an exclusive Vita AC? Never the less I could see this game doing over the million in the longrun, especially if it gets decent reviews.

Im hoping that by January we will see 4 million Vitas in gamers hands

Good slogan that does exactly what it says. Hopefully it will stick with people. Anyway, that assassin's creed game looks awesome, shame i don't have a vita, otherwise i would of picked it up with assassin's creed III on wednesday

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

'When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called the people's stick'- Mikhail Bakunin

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Nobody is looking for a console quality game on a handheld, that market is total "niche" this is why smartphones are so big, they offer a difference experience, sony really needs to pull their heads in.

Here you go again. In a Sony related news, more anti-sony people commenting. Sadly, this became the trend of VGC.

geez. no i haven't seen it but this is a terrible slogan. sony really needs to fire their entire marketing staff or something...

also, your sig is waaaaaay too long.

is that sarcasm? XD lmao

I think the slogan could be better but it is certainly not bad. People think console quality on Vita is some sort of bad thing but it isn't. Having console quality games on the go and having an actual console game put on a handheld are two different things. ACIII:L is not a port of any kind and is a seperate entity of it's own...with console like presentation, but crafted for a portable experience. How is that bad?

ironically, Nintendo is doing the same thing on the 3DS and no one is complaining there. Zelda:OoT(remake of a console game),Resident Evil Revalations, MGS3D, KH3D, etc. Contradictions much? These all seem to do just fine on a handheld and presented with a console like quality. And no one respond with any BS that these games are more "portable friendly" than the likes of what Vita has to offer because it is simply not true and its just drivel used for the doom brigade camp to put down the Vita :/

carry on lol

no sarcasm, aside from kevin butler i hate everything about sony's marketing.  i mean really, the scary baby commercial?  who the fuck green lit that idea?!?

sony has some great offerings and great games but they fail to convey that to anyone.  i'm still annoyed they didnt advertising free access to online gaming and psn+.  i still run into 360 owners that are surprised to hear they only they are getting charged to play their games online. and psn+ ought to be a huge motivator to cheapskate gamers who want a lot of gaming for their buck.

I was more so referring to the fact that about a month ago Sony DID fire majority of their marketing staff. I thought you were slighly alluding to that lol. I agree, the crying baby? How did that ever get on tv?

I really wonder why it is so hard for them to make a decent commercial. They seem to always have a good product but stumble in demonstrating it in a 30sec advertisment. They could at least go the safe route and have a plain jane spec walkthrough commercial so ppl know what they are getting. I do think they also should essensuate the fact certain games are exclusives, not ports in the ad. Someone still might thing AC:L is just portable  ACIII.

@top: did they actually fire anyone?  i thought all they did was restructure so that 5 independanly operating marketing groups all reported to a common set of leadership.  i mean, there was probably some "redundancy" but overall i was under the impression it was the same team of people.

@bottom: completly agree.  i know AC:L is a completely different game but the slogan really just makes it look like a direct port.  that isn't going to sell many people, they need to know it is an exclusive game.

I believe it was somewhere in the millions off people  layed of in their marketing department, part of the restructuring. I mean we all have noticed their marketing has to be the weakest link of the entire company, and as an effect bringing all of it down. They kinda had it coming for a while. I feel sorry for all those that lost their jobs, many probably didn't deserve it seeing as all final decisions are made by a boss and they should have been held accountable(they might have been fired too).

Hopefully this means new blood can come in with fresh ideas that will help them.

well i hope so.  the PSAS:BR trailer was as bad as anything i've seen in a while.  that probably pre-dates the layoffs but i fear it may just mean we went from a shitty team to a shitty team that doesn't have enough resources to even manage the various marketing efforts that should be happening.  : /

This was by far the best Vita ad.

Omg!  Someone else who likes this advert :D

This is actually my favourite Playstation advert, for any system, of all time.  Even better than 'Double Life'.  I think it's really effective.
