I think that's because R* games for PC typically release later than the console versions.

For example, GTA 4 promos didn't have the PC logo on:

That is what I'm thinking. Nintendo has made some questionable decisions with wii u. Mainly announcement wise. But I don't believe for a second they would let this go without getting some kind of piece. This would screw up nintendo's tactics to convince core gamers that they are taking their third party support complaints very seriously. And if nintendo really hasn't been able to convince rockstar to get a port on wii u they shouldn't even bother trying with western third parties.

True it would sell less if it came later but it would please a lot of people who want to play a proper gta game on nintendo.

I totally agree with you. But my fear is not for RockStar don't bringing the game for the Wii U, my fear is that Nintendo isn't really trying to take this game for the Wii U.

The art is easy enough to copy; though. It's always in the same style and I doubt itd take long. 

I just don't get why they'd be so secretive on console selection if their end choice was so obvious is all.

R* simply don't release much information, I don't think they have been especially secretive this time. They simply don't care.

Yep. If it isn't on there nintendo clearly hasn't tried hard enough. There may be this conspiracy that it may not sell well but what has been going well for you lately from rockstar mr. Zelnick? la noire spent far too long in development to be profitable. Max payne 3 flopped because of huge budgets.

If your games are flopping on the consoles you consider suitable for sales I see no problem with making games flop financially on others as well.

I don't know. Nintendo have kept even the most obvious things secret with this. Probably expecting to surprise but it wouldn't surprise me. Though it may surprise others.
