I'm British....

I'm offended that some British people are offended. Here in the UK 99.9% of people would call those people who are offended "tossers".

I won't call them that because I've just been banned twice in a row for voicing my view on things I shouldn't have.

I think months ago someone made a thread claiming Americans would not buy the game because we would have to kill Americans. From that point of view, I agree with you statement after looking up what the slang word tosser means.

Was any nations "way" appealing by any standards that far back? What, wasn't it Winston Churchill, a revered prime minister, who helped the British massacre plenty of Africans? And didn't he write a whole letter about how inferior they were but didn't mention how stupid his military was for not opening enough boxes of ammunition?

I agree, just pointing it out.

To put the British of the period into perspective. During the War of 1812, the British won every major decisive battle except one and that didn't wasn't won until after the treaty was signed. They routed the US Government, ransacked and burned the capital, and still ended up capitulating and lost the war.

Heck, the whole reason why Patton wanted to get to Berlin before the British was so that Montgomery wouldn't surrender to the Germans.

Note: I know the difference between the 1770's and the 1810's, but it was still King George. Up until the American Revolutionaries, no military power great or small had ever defeated the British on it's own territory, which technically the American colonies were.

The only other people were to deal the British any significant blows were the two other superpowers of the time, the French and Spanish, and then the Germans in WWII at Dunkirk. The odd thing is the British consider Dunkirk a highlight of WWII. Nothing more uplifting than retreating with 50,000 soldiers either captured or killed.

It's always good to read a persons opinion especially when the majority of historians have a different one.

Of course your completely correct about the reason why Patton wanted to capture Berlin before Montgomery when the evidence is that Patton actually agreed with Churchill that Montgomery should attempt the capture of Berlin, but don't let historical facts get in the way of your tripe.

I didn't complain that in Prototype you could massacre the good people of New York.

Being British, I know for a fact that a large number of our population are pathetic and complain about the littlest thing at any given opportunity.

Seriously. 75% of the population need thicker skin.

Then they should be offended of their ancestors because if they did the right thing this game would never have been made.

I was thinking this would happen.

no i'm not

I see more and more British people on YouTube bashing on Assassins Creed 3 and giving it a low score. They claim that the game is inacurate and hateful.

Here is one example, video below.

British game reviewer trolls Assassins creed 3.

Couldn't you find a better example than a very obvious piece of satire?

I do agree with the topic though and we've seen for many years now, that it's politically correct to pick the British and other Westerners as the bad guys.

I'm english and I couldn't care less!

Ditto. Will be lining up on day one. Imagine if all Germans boycotted WW2 games, or if Russia took offence to the number of times they fill the antagonist role.
