Forums - General - is it possible to like or love everyone?.

I tried. Believe me, I tried. Unfortunately, after the first girl, I just wasn't horny anymore.

Yes it is possible to love everyone. But it's not necessary to like someone to love them. If you think of everyone as part of your extended family then you can muster up a bit of love for everyone.

But it takes effort and most people can't be bothered.

Is it necessary? Only if you want a more peaceful world. But if you are OK with the rather dysfunctional status quo then I guess it's not necessary.

SOmeone once said "why not try peace for a while, if it doesn't work we can always go back to war." Similarly why not try love for a while, if it doesn't work you can always go back to hate and estrangement.

Well, that's rather silly. You give up on war, and the other side doesn't, and you have a pretty huge problem on your hands.

The other thing, I suppose, depends upon your definition of "love".

Let me tell you the story of Ghandi and the British Empire...

“The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.” - Bertrand Russell

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

Jimi Hendrix

Yes if someone were to stop judging everyone by how they act. And see that everyone hinds who they really are and see that we're all actually the same.

No
i hate people that hate...........i hate myself?

There is always one that everyone don't like, but it's because of petty, stupid things usually. But it depends, on who you associate yourself with too

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Ghandi's philosphy and the reality of Indian politics were quite different.

See Pakistan.

Had the UK continued to use force it could of eaisly kept india subjugated if it wished... in fact, the reforms that led to the facilitation of India's self rule only came about due to Sepoy Rebellion partially caused by the stupid decision to give a bunch of Hindu and Muslim soldiers cow and pig cartridges that could only be loaded by biting them.

Without that violence, and threat of more violence... India would of never received it's own congress.

no its impossible. every single person has different values and belief's therefore being compatible with all of them is impossible

I think someone that's insane or has some sort of mental issue could like or love everyone, but other than that I don't think so.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

If you are asking if it's possible for one person to like/love everyone else in the world, then the answer is yes. If you are asking if it's possible for every person to like/love every other person the answer is a HUGE no.
