It sounds good. It's not going to be for everyone, though, especially with the dead penalties. Also, some of the ways it makes use of the controller had me interested but a few of them had me rolling my eyes. I hope it doesn't get gimmicky to the point it breaks immersion, which is something a lot of launch titles have been guilty of over the years. Still, good for Ubisoft making this kind of game, though I really question why it's not multi-platform. This is something people have been asking for for years.

My biggest concern would be the name, "ZombieU". It's lame, and will probably lead a lot of people to not take this game seriously.

No but seriously, to me it doesn't seem like the Wii U will have a killer app at launch. (And Nintendo Land is by far not a new "Wii Sports" title with great mass appeal.) Instead they will give potential consumers several minor reasons to buy the console like ZombieU, other third party titles, NintendoTVii, assymetrical multiplayer, off-screen gameplay, constant flow of small - and greater items in the eShop and of course; Nintendo's first party titles.

NSMBU is probably the closest game to be a real Wii U's killer app (even more than NintendoLand imo), but yeah nothing will ever come close to Wii sports.

As always it depends what you mean by the term. Looks like it's going to be a pretty amazing game, but I don't think it's going to get the sales that would usually qualify something as a killer app.

Looks interesting though and my love of Demon/Dark Souls means I might have to look into getting it whenever I get a Wii U.
