Until the electoral college is abolished and the popular vote decides the President, we will continue to see ~55% voter turnout every year because many people feel the same as CDiablo.

Look, i was just giving one example of an issue he has been consistent on. Both the major party candidates are guilty of some serious waffeling on a variety of issues, and trust me, I am very well informed. Im also well aware of how terrible a news source fox news is, completely biased to the right, just like I am aware that MSNBC is a terrible news source, completely biased o the left. The fact that you put them up as a news channel to watch just shows me that you might need to get educated.
Your response to Romneys position on minimum wage is a great example. After looking it up, I find that Im right. I have no idea where you are getting what you said, but that kind of stuff happens if you are getting your info from biased sources. Biased news sources will twist facts to fit their agenda. Try CNN or better yet, just read a variety of different news articles on the same topic so you can get a better understanding of it.
Im not a conservative, nor am I a liberal. I can see the truth without partisan blinders, the question is, can you?

That's the worst possible excuse to vote for Romney. First you said Obama had the super majority and worked on healthcare instead of the economy. The healthcare plan he has in place, was difficult to complete, even with so many in congress, as the Republicans filibustered almost ALL things Obama and democrats brought to the table, in an effort to make it appear as if Obama did nothing in his term. So the republicans blocked all forward movement in the nation, for ALL people, just for their own political gain come this election time. So they could say, Obama has done nothing. That's not true. He's done alot despite having the complete ROAD BLOCK that is the republican party. Obama has been working very hard to take care of this nations middles class (which represents the vast majority of Americans) and for you to cast your vote for the candidate that only works for the elite top of the country, is not only harming most Americans, but also yourself. Regardless of where you live, you shouldn't just toss your vote up to Romeny becuase you think he's going to get it anyway. This is the only time you have, once every half a decade, to make your voice heard, and stand up for "the most right" you believe in. Really think about what your reasons are for voting for Romney, not just because "well the things they say about Obama sound true, so they must be." |
Ok, you must not understand how a supermajority works. You see, democrats had enough members in congress to ignore republican fillibusters. Obama had two years of that when our economy was at its worst and what did he do? He passed a healthcare plan that ends up being a huge tax on small business. That is not how you get out of an economic mess, that is how you make it worse.
really rendermonk, you should get informed... :)

I'll start by replying to this issue. I know how super majorities work, that doesn't change the fact that a filibuster can still be imposed. And just because it won't be completed, doesn't mean that the parlamentary process won't still take up the time to be heard. This is what the republican party did repeatedly to block the progress of bills that were trying to be passed. Surely you must know that.
As to your previous post, MSNBC is not bias to the left the way Fox is to the right. They just happen to be in support of Obama and that's why it may appear that way at the moment. They are a tried, tested, and true reporting serivce that is based on fact, not the fabrication there of. I'm not Solely for MSNBC, that's why I stated NBC, CBS, ABC, and the like. To pick any channel but Fox, was the message. MSNBC has no hidden agenda the way Fox does, so please don't try and slant it that way, simply because they are in favor of Obama. While the shows I listed are strong democratic supporters, there are plenty of shows on the MSNBC channel that are republican supporter, like The Morning Joe. So it's not the channel that's to the Left. This is the difference between MSNBC and Fox. On Fox you will NEVER see a show backing anything remotely democratic.
The message you seem to be missing here, is about making an informed decision and then going out with that informed decision and voting. From the statements you made, it sounded very much like the propaganda against Obama. Thing like "he hasn't done anything over the last 4 years, we need someone new, large taxes on small businesses, not reaching across the aisle to be bipartisan. All those statements are incorrect, and the regurgetation of them are bing word for word from the smear campaigns against Obama. That is where I came to my conclusion about you being uninformed. You don't seem to have any hard facts or beliefes as to why you would vote for Romney, other than you don't like Obama. That's not based on fact, that's personal opinion.
This is about you and me. It's about being properly educated on the issues that matter and making an informed decision to cast your vote for the best choice for president of the united states.

Ok, ignoring the fact that the one specific issue we talked about (minimum wage) where i was right and you were wrong, what exactly was wrong about my reasons? Obamacare IS a large tax on small business. As the supreme court ruled on the case, that isnt propaganda, that is a freaking fact man. Also, even if the republicans were being stupid, it takes two to tango so to speak. Fact is, almost every legislative effort in the first two years of obamas presidency was done without republican support. Obama didnt need to compromise so he didnt. Everything i talked about are facts, not propaganda. There is nothing incorrect about anything i posted.
I also loved this line from you "MSNBC has no hidden agenda like fox does, so please dont try to slant it that way, simply because they are in favor of Obama." Lol
ill say it again, im not a liberal or a conservative. I can see without the partisan goggles, can you?
@RenderMonk
Look, I have been pretty clear that I don't like either Obama or Romney. Would it make you feel better if I tell you why I dislike Romney as well? I think Romney has been incredibly vague and hard to pin down this entire election cycle. He waffles on issues all the freaking time. I don't see his tax plan as really doing all that much and the fact that he has completely removed the option for revenue increases don't sit very well with me. I dislike how he is always talking about how important paying down the deficit is, but then doesn't say how he will do it.
There are lots of reasons why I dislike Romney, just like there are lots of reasons as to why I dislike Obama. The reason I'm going to vote for Romney has less to do with Romney and more about giving somebody else a shot. Romney does have a pretty good biography and it is possible that he could do a better job. The thing is, I have seen how Obama performed as president, and I didn't like it. So I'm voting for the other guy with a chance of winning. Simple as that.

Grandia was hilarious with how many inaccuracies he has in his post
MSNBC's slogan is "Lean Forward".
If you can't see a liberal bias at MSNBC... i'd argue you probably aren't looking...
because it's right in the slogan.
