Beware those assassins that kill everyone that threatens the oil industry!!!

Btw people in spain let algae water and sun produce fuel. And the best part is that algae "eats" co2 to produce that fuel.

Theoretically you could hook that algae reactor to a cole power plant and let the algae eat the shitty  smoke to create even more power.

There is no conspiracy to keep the oil industry in control, most alternatives are simply not cost effective.

If people were willing to spend $5/liter or $20/gallon for gas there are countless alternatives to petroleum, but if you want to continue to buy gas at current rates about the only cost effective source is oil.

Yeah right no conspiracy or whatever thats why the  EV1 still drives around on our streets ;)  (watch who killed the electric car) The EV died because there is less to repair in the EV1 than in a normal car so the car manufacturers made less profit with replacement parts etc. And the oil industry never saw a penny.

There is more conspiracies than you think my friend.

Its is not cost effective YEAH but only for the oil industry thats why its not working. And the industry spreading false information and lying about the truth  equals conspiracy.

I see no reason why it should go 5$/liter  since its not more complicated etc than having soldiers protect oil fields in the middle east  then bringing it to oil refineries  and then shipping this to the other side of the planet so its in our gas stations.  The only reason why it would be extremely pricey is because the oil industries payed corrupt people to make the price higher than the normal oil price and then they can say  " SEE!? WE KNEW IT WOULDNT WORK" or they buy into the GREEN FUEL companies and do shit on purpose   (this happened with the EV1).

Buying gas at current rates  doesnt even work with oil because the oil sheikh's artificially control supply etc oil could be alot cheaper. Same with diamonds diamonds are not rare at all they have no real value  but because the supply is manipulated the price is totally insane.

Btw. my father worked for a company SunSolar that made solar panels then the company was bought by another company  (this company was a subsidiary of British Petrol BP) and the new owner fucked up everything on purpose. There is so much shit going on its not even funny anymore.

P.S. Even TV/HiFi manufacturers place heat sensitive parts next to the power supplies in their TVs etc  so the thing dies faster.  That was proven. They want you to buy new stuff so they make the old stuff die faster than it should

Great, now we're going to run out of air and water. What will we drink? How will we breathe?!

The guys in the video are not creating clean energy, what they want to do, is to create PETROL using clean energy sources to power the conversion. So all this is doing is allowing us to use renewables to make fuel to power our cars, which seems a little silly when we barely make any electricity through renewables before worrying about how to stop cars using fuel

atleast it could deal with the situations in which the renewable power sources produce "too much" energy, like at a sunny day with a lot of wind - you need sth. store that energy and release it again when it's dark and calm

nowadays here in germany we use that energy to pump water to a higher location and let it run down again (through a generator) when we need the energy and afaik that is a pretty effective way, but there is just so much water you can pump up (in total and at a time)

Yeah, that is a valid strategy, just not quite world changing and I would guess reasonably inneficient as the man in the video didn't want to get drawn into that discussion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_EV1#Costs

One industry official said that each EV1 cost the company about US$80,000, including research, development and other associated costs;[57] other estimates placed the vehicle's actual cost as high as $100,000.[1] Bob Lutz, GM Vice Chairman responsible for the Chevrolet Volt, in November 2011 stated the EV1 cost $250,000 each and leased for just $300 per month

Gigantic conspiracy to prevent GM from selling a $250,000 car for $33,000 ...

Today the Chevy Volt has a production cost of $89,000 and is selling for (roughly) $40,000 meaning GM loses (roughly) $50,000 on the sale of every car (http://www.forbes.com/sites/michelinemaynard/2012/09/10/stunner-gm-may-be-losing-50000-on-each-chevrolet-volt/)

Once again THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY, ALTERNATIVES ARE JUST NOT COST EFFECTIVE ...

Allright so preventing hundreds of people from renewing their leasing contract (as you said $300 a month with no cost to GM) and then crushing all those totally working almost brand new cars instead of selling them to the former leasers that offered a ton of money to GM  is very very cost effective!

They just wanted people to forget that car existed and thats why they lost money on purpose.  They have no interest in creating a car that runs like a charm doesnt need replacement parts and has no use for fuel.  But whatever  keep dreaming your dream xD

Again it is a conspiracy when they start to lie about what happened etc.

BTW. They didnt say "Its to expensive to make this car" back in the day because that was not the issue (The issue was the LAW that would force them to pay even higher penalty charges so making the cars was cheaper than not making them. So the COST argument makes no sense in that situation)

They were successful in overturning the law and after that was done they removed all the EV1s so the people would forget about them . They ignored that the already built VE1 would make them some money because people would keep leasing them and they also ignored the cheque offered by former EV1 "owners" in favor of long term profit by selling "sabotaged" cars that need more repairs and replacement parts.

GM could maintain a $300/month contract or recover (potentially) $100,000 by writing it off as an operating loss ... Big surprise they didn't keep the $300/month contract.

You (obviously) have never paid any attention to business and/or accounting in your life.

we need to just install solar panels on our cars and get energy from that! that would be a far better solution. Petrol's days are limited now

A car completely covered in solar panels produces aproximatelly 1-2 horsepower in a sunny day. Good luck selling them XD

Well get people to improve the technology, otherwise it will always be bad. Compare the first car to a typical car now, there is a massive difference, but with your attitude cars would have stayed at 5mph and people would still be using horses to get to places. One day, solar panels will be good enough for our energy needs, people just need to find ways of making them better and more efficient
