Forums - Website Topics - Had to get AdBlocker. Thanks.

the worst part of advertisements on this site are the days where they show up after every single click of a link. Go to home page, get an ad and a skip ad option, click a post, same thing, next page, same thing, over and over and over and over and over.

When I first came back to VGChartz it was the same thing for a week, every single click showed a new ad, like it had to catch me up from the time I was gone, if I was logged out it never happened.

I use ad blocker too. The background is empty, and blank with no ads lol. even the sponsor page is blank

CPU: Ryzen 9950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

This is one of the worst websites for ads, I probably had to skip at least 10 ads to search the forums and make a couple of posts in less than a few minutes. I even had to skip two ads in a row before I could do anything. I used to use AdBlock until I switched to Chrome but this is making me want to get it back. It makes the use on a phone a nightmare.

Pause that shit, how else are we supposed to fund ioi's coke addiction?

Ironic that 95% of your OP is covered in a NFS ad.

That's the problem though; there wasn't any pause button. I'll be happy to help ioi in his addiction, once this problem is rectified ^^

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I have no problem with ads if they are up above or on one side of the page I'm visiting. In fact that might even get me to take notice of it while I browse. But what I HATE is when ads pop up right in your face stopping you completely until you close it.

At least VGChartz doesn't have Pop-Under Ads with women moaning sexually.

It's a wee bit awkward sitting at a library computer and having one of those come up while visiting a free porn site, and having to apologize to the 14 yo girl sitting next to me for the noise.

I can sympathise with this, the Need for Speed ad drives me nuts. My cursor hovers over it and it plays (with sound). i close it, only for it to boot up again straight away. Well done EA (or whoever made the ad), I definitely not be getting that game ever.

I surf on mute. No problem for me.
