You can always buy the hero with ingame points. No need to invest real money you only need to pay real money for alternate costumes as far as I know.

Looks like I'd need to play ~100 games (hours) as heroes I'm not happy with, and could still have that time investment taken off me for no reason. I have no problem paying money, as long as I get what I bought indefinitely.

Um, Dota 2 is $30? I want to but I don't know anyone with beta access. I LOVED watching The Invitational even though I know almost nothing about the genre.

Hey man, playing 3v3 gets you points fairly quickly ive won 25 games and brouhgt one char with points and got enough to buy another one..

I do. Top lane is my preferred, and Cho'Gath is my favorite champion at the moment. It's a very fun game and I've probably only spent about $20 on it, which is a pretty good value for the hundreds of hours I've put into the game already and the hundreds more I'm sure to play in the future as well.

I only play daily botgames for the bonus ep. This way I get enough EP to buy and try out every second champ that releases. Stopped playing competitively when they nerfed Mordekaiser but my main was Amumu.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
