If their lives and deaths are relatively free from pain I don't see a problem with eating their meat. It's not like animals will have some sort of valuable lives and have a great impact on their - or other species' future.

An animal's life is all about feeling good or feeling bad. If they feel good throughout their lives it doesn't matter if we make it a bit shorter, in my opinion.

Depends on what you mean by valuable. Pigs, for example, have shown to be quite intelligent when given the oppurtunity to learn.

Well, different animals bring different forms of value. Pets bring value for their owners, animals in the wild bring value for the echo system and animals who are born to be food bring value to meat consumers. So I guess I should take back some of that statement.

Still, one human has a lot more value than an animal. Using the human as meat would not make sense as a lot more potential value would be lost. An animal simply enjoys life (ideally) until it dies and won't bring scientific breakthroughs or anything while being alive, so shortening that lifespan would not decrease its value. On the contrary, after death is when its value starts kicking in.

Good to mix some fruits and veggies in with your meat.

I don't think it's wrong. It's just... natural I guess.
Our ancestors did it for thousands of years.
Whether it is morally right to do it is a matter of opinion, but I suppose it isn't exactly fair to the animals that we eat.
But I like meat, so I'm not really complaining.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

We have Incisor teeth for a reason. So eat all the meat you want my friend.

Why is it wrong? Is it wrong for a Lion to eat a Gazelle? Or was it wrong for the Sperm Whales of Madagascar to kill all the dodo birds? Should we force Lions to eat grass in Africa?

Of course it is not wrong.

Please don't try to compare animal morality to human morality. Using that logic, people would be free to walk around naked, shit in public, kill others for stepping on our territory, etc.

So basically everywhere would be like Africa.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Animals can suck my dick, what are they gonna do? live forever and cure cancer?

There are human beings living in animal conditions in this world and people dont care, if we are going to improve living conditions in this world we should start with our own species.

Trying to follow this post.  While it comes in semi anger I am just wondering how do you want humans to improve themselves?   What culture, religion, or way of thought do you think is best of humans?  If you ask me I think the Native American way of thought/religion is the best for the planet and species. Sure there were war tribes and they didn't always get along but they respected nature and this world we live on.

If it's wrong, I don't want to be right.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

If meat eating was wrong, it wouldn't taste so damn good, would probably be poisonous, and certainly wouldn't give the human body health benefits. Have you ever seen the body of a hardcore vegan? They usually look pasty white and scrawny. They often look ill.

What I DO agree is wrong however is the way animals are treated and the state of the industry, the way the meat is processed, etc. (just watch Super Size Me and Food Inc to know what I'm talking about). The meat itself is not the problem, just the way it is handled.
