I am not sure. Both PSABR and little big planet karting look good, and maybe the new slim can get some people attracted to get a PS3. But Halo 4, the Kinect seasonal boost and the BLOPS 2 boost (Yes I know is coming to the PS3 too) seems to much for me. If LBPK and PSABR perform well, and they have an aggressive tv campaign for the PS3 super slim, They stand a chance.

with this, you give me hope.

its difficult but it can be done. Lets hope together.

hope is all we need. a mment of silence plz.

Sony will lose the Holiday season. LBP Karting and PSABR should be first year releases on the PS4, not games released 6 or 7 years into a consoles life cycle. The only way I see them selling consoles is if Sony bundled one and did a price cut of atleast $50.

I think I might have voted wrong. I assumed by "outlast" you meant the PS3's YTD total. If so, then yeah, I think the PS3 will finish up a few hundred thousand units on the 360. If you meant just for the holidays, then no, the 360 is going to be strong from Shooter Season to the end of December.

I think Sony is going to start advertising the new SS bundles soon, probably when back-stock on the older models is mostly depleted. I also anticipate a cheaper stand-alone model closer to Xmas; if so, then that's going to help a lot. However, Microsoft always drops big holiday promotional deals this time of year, which will push units pretty well, as will Halo and CoD.

You know, though, we always talk about the 360 being more profitable than the PS3, even considering the billions the RRoD fiasco cost, but I can't help wondering what the average selling price for the 360 has been. A LOT of 360s have been moved during promotions, especially $50 off promotions as with this year and last. Although, that $50 might not all be on Microsoft's end, as matching buy-ins aren't uncommon at retail. We used to do a lot of "we'll sell you skdjfs at X price if you retail them for Y amount," which basically split the reduction.

ITT: Something we already know, come back next week for a rerun and see other great threads such as
WiiU will do better than the ps3 this christmas.
The Vita is doomed
Sony are losing money.

This is just another day in the exciting world of VGChartz!!

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

True, but then do you remember the "Killzone 2" and "MGS4" threads of many a year ago full of animated gifs that were 10MB in size slowing your browser to a crawl.

Oh, then we had "The Conduit" threads where apparently it was graphically a match for a PS3 or Xbox 360 game...Of course the game hadn't actually been released at that point, lol.

....And of course "RROD"....Oh dear oh dear...

Thank your lucky stars and remember how it really was ;)
