I support their freedom of speech to be complete assholes when they said stuff like "i hope she reads this and kills herself"...but they could/should easily be charged with harassment and assault. 

This video makes me pretty sad. I don't get how kids can be so cruel. Makes me wish I'd been there so I could have stood up for her and helped her.

Ok, well let's just get this all out of the way so you all can stop your bitching about this dead girl. A lot of what is posted in her video and on her page is fabricated to make her look like she was an angel. Think again.

1. She was 15 years old when she flashed those guys.
2. She did it out of her own free will. She CHOSE to do it.
3. She already flirted with many guys before.

She got 'beat' up at school not because of the picture, but because she slept with another girl's boyfriend. (refer to #1)
5. The guy 'bullied' her once only about 6-8 months after she flashed online. Not multiple times over 2 years.

7. Her home life wasn't the best. (family troubles)

You people who are giving her sympathy and pity should all be ashamed of yourselves. Instead of giving pity to a girl who already commited suicide, how about you talk to that lonely kid at lunch? Yea, the one who sits all alone in the corner. But no, you'd rather sit with your friends and then come home and get on facebook and say shit like 'Oh, how come no one helped poor Amanda, she's so pretty, why did she have to die'. FUCK YOU! Go crawl back in your shell of safety while the ones who really need help are only an arms length away.

We should be talking about the ones who were bullied and managed to survive through it all. The success stories. Because that's what gives kids hope, the ones who know what it's like to be in their shoes. The ones who have walked that road before and came out ok.

What kind of message does it send to impressionable teens that if you go ahead and kill yourself that you will get thousands of likes on a facebook page and everyone will feel sorry for you and give you attention? If you have any self respect for the future then you'd stop and think about where your morals are. If you're too confused with your emotions and common sense, then just get off the internet entirely. No one wants to read your idiotic comments and your emotion filled rage tantrums.

They're half-right, in calling for us to be less concerned about the dead and more concerned about those who can be saved, at least...

Well, I do both.   There are people on the very site that can testify to that fact.

While not everything was her fault... she definitely started it and she should've simply ignored those threats, because she also should've known that it was wrong and accept her stupidity instead of being scared what others may think about her or whatever problems she had.

Of that 4Chan post, this is the one that stood out and the one that concerns me:

The 1.-7.--I don't know how it could be fabricated when it is pretty much confirmed by Amanda, herself, in the video. I do worry, though. I used to be super depressed at one point in time (feels like a lifetime ago) and I spent a lot of time fantasizing about how my community would react to my death. I've probably visualized my funeral a thousand times. This--the outpouring of concern--does seem to send the wrong message. But what can we do? It's a sad occasion and people are genuinely hurt by what took place. Who is 4Chan, or anybody else for that matter, to say, "Hey, you can't feel bad about this girl you've never met. Stop acting like you care."? We are human. We care.

I've never been to 4Chan's site. I'm sure it's the breeding ground of morality, family values, and answers to all that is wrong in the world. That's great. Let them lead by example. I'll gladly follow.

This is a level of cruelty that makes me sick. How can anyone, and so many, treat another person like that?
