Onimusha was never exclusive. It was on original Xbox.

It was on the original Xbox for one game only: Genma Onimusha

But the Onimusha series than goes to the PC at later dates.

Surfer Girl: The Sylvia Browne of video game predictions.

Seriously - how many times has she been right out of the number of predictions she's made? She's just using the "fire a machine gun in the dark and hope I get a few hits" method, from what I've seen.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me.

But hey, youre welcome to follow whatever you want.

But she'd have to be god damn lucky to have such odds with a fucking "machinegun" lol.

I dont know, I personally never bought a single Onimusha game even though I was always interested in the series lol.

I remember I tried the first one some years back at a local game dealer, and ... I dont know ... I wasn't captured by it. I think I just didn't appreciate the pre-rendered backgrounds and limited areas.

I would love to hear what kind of ideas they'd have for the this one though, to see if it could boost my interest back into it.

To be fair, SG's predictions are a mixed bag. There may be a few choice nuggets of information, but most of it is obvious predictions and rumours culled from other gaming sites. I think the machine gun analogy is fairly apt.

To be honest, I could come up with most of the predictions myself. Like this one, for example. It's fairly obvious that the next Onimusha would not be exclusive to PS3 as the series is only popular in Japan. It is not worth Sony paying for exclusivity when the X360 version is virtually guaranteed to bomb (or at least be significantly outsold by the PS3 version). It would also be unlikely to come out on Wii as it is a game that relies heavily on cutting edge graphics and CGI cut-scenes. Therefore the only thing SG had to predict is that Capcom are making a new Onimusha game. Given that the series is still popular in Japan, where sequelitis is rife (FF & DQ?) that is near enough a certainty. Inside knowledge? Seems unlikely in this case.

And no it won't sell systems. Maybe a handful of PS3's in Japan to hardcore fans of the series, but no noticeable impact.

Capcom? Making a sequel to one of their biggest franchises?

Nooooo really?

People surprised by this rumor would also be surprised by such other rumors as "the sky is blue" and "water is wet."
